Longer lasting tires for 21" wheels?

Staggered wheels. Can't rotate them so they aren't going to last. You could probably get rid of staggered wheels since you don't care about cornering.

Tesla Wall charger v. Plain old NEMA 14-50

FWIW, My car is limited to 40amps. I had the electrician just add a 14-50 receptacle to the Tesla Wall charger and I plug that into the NEMA14-50 socket. Yes I was lazy and didn't want to use the mobile charger and I didn't want to hardwire due to might want to move. Yes its redundant. :)

    Tankless water heaters are terrible....

I love my natural gas tankless water heater and will have one in any house I own. I would never want to put an electric tankless in. Uses way too much electric for me.

    Supercharger - Warsaw, NC (closed)

I recently charged at Warsaw three different times this week making a trip to/from Topsail twice. Didn't really need a charge but wanted to see if it still worked and I like to get coffee at McD's. I noticed that when I select charging stations on Nav map Warsaw shows up but is not in the drop...

Your car is broke. Take it in and get it fixed. My old 2012 wipers motors work perfectly.

Supercharger - Wilmington, NC - Mayfaire Shopping Center

There is also a Chademo at The Villages at Brunswick Forest just over the river. Also free. It came in handy when I was at Carolina Beach for a few days. Last weekend I used the HPWC at Wells Fargo on military cutoff. Easy peasy.

Don't buy a CPO without Autopilot!

I would love to have AP1.0. It wasn't worth the extra $20K for me. I would rather have a Performance Model. My next purchase I may consider it. Or more likely cost will come down where I can get the best of both worlds performance and autopilot.

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

This phenomena has happened while driving my Volt. I think it has something to do with regen turning off in that situation which makes you feel like the car is accelerating. I can reproduce it by braking while going over RR track crossing for example.

Tire pressure monitoring system needs service

I got the message off and on for a few weeks. TPMS could not read front left tire pressure. Sensor was replaced twice. Problem came back so SC installed new TPMS system. Haven't had an issue yet. I can now read each individual tire pressure. Something I my old classic could not do before.

    2012 Model S 85 For Sale

I've had no issues with "A" battery myself. As far as supercharger rate, I understand 90kw is max rate for A, but when discussing with other newer Tesla owners I have not really noticed a rate difference. Probably due to ramp down. I have yet to run into another user at a supercharger getting...

Yes, scheduling a calendar event on your phone and adding the address works once the car syncs with the phone. I've done it a couple times.

WTB: One Pirelli sottozero series 2 tire

I had a nail in one of my Pirelli winter tires and it's not pluggable. I'm looking to replace the tire with a used one that matches the other three. Looking for at least half tread left.

    CPO Price vs Blue Book

It would seem buying from another owner that has purchased the extended warranty is a better deal. I purchased from an owner when the car had 18k miles. The extended warranty is good to 100k miles or 4 years. It adds to the end of the original warranty.

    Food in the Frunk

I workout in the mornings at the company gym. The frunk is the BEST place to put my stinky gym bag until I get home in the evening. Keeps the stink out of the cabin. :)

Advice wanted for extra rims with winter tires

Well wouldn't you know it. Four Pirelli sottozero winter tires with good tread. One now has a nail in an unplugable area. Discount tire didn't have the tire and Pirelli was out. Ugh!

    Knoxville to Nashville I40

I'm looking at driving to Nashville and it looks like going direct from Knoxville would be cutting it very close in my P85. Has anyone done that trip? Looks like some possible Chademo's at Cracker Barrel along the route but would rather not have to depend on that.

Advice wanted for extra rims with winter tires

Ha ha ha, yes you are correct. Might be another "slang" word I picked up in the South. Didn't think much about it until now. Everyone refers to wheels as rims around here.

Advice wanted for extra rims with winter tires

My S has the 21in gray rims. I love the look. The previous owner also gave me a set of 19 inch standard rims that have Pirelli sottozero winter tires on them with decent tread left. I live in North Carolina, I don't need snow tires. I was thinking about putting the other rims on for the winter...

Charlotte NC to Asheville NC Trip Advice

I made the trip early December when it was cold. We took I85 to 74 to i26. It's an easy drive. Coming back we did the reverse but much faster, 80 and up when passing. We still had plenty of miles when we got to Charlotte supercharger. I have an old P85. It was a fun trip.

    Door Handle issue

I was in the SC today and they looked at the handle. They said they fixed it. Here's the situation. I come out from my office and go to put my bags in the back seat. I pull the door handle but it does not open. Instead, this one door handle goes back in and then immediately comes back out. I then can pull the door handle and it opens. This has happened about three...

Is Tesla Model S Heating/Cooling Effective like ICE cars?

I need some help please! Please take a look!

I think it's a scam. I've purchased many used cars and this one has red flags for me. P85 for $34K really? I would say based on the prices on their website that they are all probably salvaged (rebuilt) title. But the fact, the same car shows up on two dealers inventory pages,...Red Flag Red Flag.

P85: Significant Capacity Loss and Vampire Drain

I'll have to agree here. I haven't seen an evidence that A packs are a problem. Last time I fully charged my P85 it was around 255 miles. The only limitation I'm aware of is the 90KW max charge rate. Still very happy with my car.

Buying a car out of you area

I hit just about every supercharger between NJ and NC. The Jersey turnpike sucked at 5pm :( No issues using any of the superchargers. In fact, drove all the way down without a plate. I would do it again for the amount of money saved.

Questions about buying a used 2013 Model S

I purchased an early P85 from private party with 18k miles. They had purchased the extended warranty also. What's changed since MY2013?

I purchased a used P85 that has SAS. I have been extremely happy with my purchase. I was replacing our trip car so I wanted an 85kw battery.
