    Best 4 Bike Rack

4 bike rack with mountain bikes is too much for the factory tow hitch. I had the same problem with my Model X and ended up changing out the factory hitch to a after market, Draw-Tite hitch that bumped up the tongue weight capacity to 750lbs. I use the Kuat NV 2.0 4 bike on my Model X and when...

    Vendor Floor Mats

Received mine on Friday and got around to install them today in my March 2021 build MYP. Fits well and has the creases like what the others mentioned on the drivers side mat and rear’s fold. I’m sure once I get it outside with some heat, they’ll go away. Fit, feel and price, it’s a good value...

    New tow hitch cover

I did the same with my original. Still a pain to remove so got a new one to start again. I’ll experiment with the old one with magnets and some previously posted ideas.

    New tow hitch cover

I don’t think there is a difference. Just picked up a new one. Mine is from a 3/21 build and came with “A” and the bottom one is a new “C”. Clips looks the same. Mine is all mangled and has been clipped.

    Mud flaps & Model Y

I might just end up doing that. Use a Dremel and then smooth out the edges. I like the Telsa material versus the harder plastic of the Amazon ones I just received.

    Mud flaps & Model Y

I installed the OEM ones for my Performance. They look great but wished they were a few inches shorter. They rub on driveways and speed bumps. Probably will swap them out for a front and reach set I found on Amazon.

LDCRS vs Tesla Shields Floor Mats

Ordered TeslaShields for the ‘21 5 seater. They said it should ship by June now. Should know more in a few weeks. Was supposed to be this month.

@tshields didn't see the new thread. Is it 2021 with trunk and frunk mats?

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

Reserved back in October 2020 before the FSD price hike and managed to save it until now. Confirmed order on 3/22, received VIN 157xxx the following day. Delivered today and trouble free minus a passenger door handle that was slightly sunken like the other MYP in this thread. Pearl White on...

Any Model Y with new projector headlights in the USA?

Tesla assistance for AutoSock on Model X

Socks should be put on the rear so you only need one pair.

Tesla assistance for AutoSock on Model X

I bought the AutoSocks for my 20”s a few years back when I was heading to South Tahoe. Conditions were great and never had to use them. Running on 22”s now and will switch back to 20”s when we head back this season. The tires on my 22”s aren’t M&S rated so I don’t think they’ll do well in snow...

    Matte Seat Back Replacement

If it's anything like the S's backseats, they should hold up well. I had a loaner S for almost a month and my toddlers placed and kicked the seat backs all the time. A moist towel or baby wipes cleaned them up well without any scratches.

There are pictures of the new matte seat backs on page 2 of this thread.

Matte finish seat backs now standard?

Got back out here to SC and to take pictures but I can say that after looking at this Model S loaner that I have, it's the same material. Textured leather that so far is taking a pretty good beating from my toddlers. Sales guy said this is how they're being delivered now. Need to resize the...

Brand new MX to a 4-year old MS loaner (and a '16 loaner)

Been driving a '13 S 85 loaner for almost 2 weeks and I miss my X. Wife keeps asking me when we're getting the X back. I don't mind racking up the miles in this loaner as I put on more than I normally did on the X. With 2 toddlers that are front facing, it's a pain buckling them in on the S...

Tesla Model X with Black 20-inch wheels - here's what it looks like

I've seen you post this before but can't find it. What color is that for the powder coating?
  21. S

Matte finish seat backs now standard?

Was too excited that I saw that I didn't take pictures. I was telling the wife, I need to find the part number for these things and find out how much these are. I haven't wrapped my glossy ones yet and these would be a good alternative depending on the price. To clarify the store, this is...

Matte finish seat backs now standard?

The 100D 6 seater that I saw at the Dublin SC yesterday had tan seats and the first thing I noticed was that the seat backs were not the glossy backs I'm used to seeing and that I have myself. Instead it was black leather-like with a slight texture to it. Sort of feels like what is on the doors.

    Telsa Front Floor Mats Installed

Same issue on mine where the sides are not flat and bunches up. Hoping when it warms up that it'll straighten out or I'll try to give them a little heat to mold correctly.

    2017 Front License Plate

It's still a requirement in CA to have a front plate but dealers are not required to put it on. Normally the dealer will have you sign a form stating that you did not want to have a front plate on so that they're not liable for anything. Guessing since Telsa isn't a car dealership, they did not...

Still haven't received the update. They said they tried to manually push the update to me but it failed on their end. Waiting to hear back as they escalated up a little.

Blackvue 2-Ch Dashcam Install on Model X

I turned off the alerting sounds for the events. I was getting them all the time, too. What I would like to see is the sensitivity of the motion. Mine seems like it's always recording even on the second to lowest motion setting.

60D and 200 miles range does not seem possible

Speed, elevation and temperature kills the range pretty quick. I did a trip from San Jose to South Lake Tahoe a few weeks back and the navi requested to do 1 supercharger stop and I should end up in South Lake Tahoe with less than 20%. Never pushed the 200 mile range since there were too many...

No Software Updates over Last 2 Weeks

I'm still on 2.48.16 and haven't seen any updates come through. I did get something for the maps update that didn't require my attention and had a popup on my screen one morning stating it was done. Contacted service and they said someone from the technical team will need to manually push it to...

Convertible Car Seats and the X

I have to try to get the Radians again into my X. Currently have the Britax's and they fit but the person in the middle would need to be skinny to fit comfortably. I couldn't get the Radians to fit snuggly and they kept moving around even with the seat protectors.

Blackvue 2-Ch Dashcam Install on Model X

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that new bigger channel they have for AP2. From the videos, it looks a lot wider and I assume it is for the additional gear's cabling. My current channel was a PITA of getting the two additional cables for the Blackvue to fit.

Tesla assistance for AutoSock on Model X

Read that link too fast. It's 99.95 for a pair and that's a steal in my opinion. Caltrans Winter Driving Tips Chain Controls Looks like these are legal unless I'm reading it wrong under traction devices.
  33. S

Tesla assistance for AutoSock on Model X

I'm in for the 20" and on their site, it looks like $99.95 per. Not sure if it's per wheel or per set but that's a lot cheaper than the Telsa chains. Would be curious if they are Caltrans approved.

    Snow Chain

Nope I didn't have a AWD at the time I was asked. On the Tesla site, it says 20" Tesla Wheels but the diagram shows and says Helix. Someone in the thread above put it on the standard 20" with the lug cover removed and I'll assume the Helix, you would just need to remove the center cap only as...

    Snow Chain

Seems like the only proper choice are the Tesla chains. $500 is steep for chains that I may never use. I've driven through chain control checkpoints a few times and only once was I asked if I had some and to put it on. It's only been once where it was so bad they turned everyone around as well...

FWD not opening fully with 8.0

Mine does that now in the garage. It's almost like it's a lot more sensitive to objects when before it would wider and still avoid hitting the car next to it and the the garage door rails above.

Car Seats, what inside your X?

Thanks but what permissions do I need to see the links to your pics? Agree on the time. It took me awhile to get one Radian in and it never sat right. The Britax were super easy and quick. Though I'm having a hard time getting the rear tether to stay up on the seats. They keep slipping.

    Model X 60D is Gone

Did you ever find the answer for this? MVPA and other docs all show Supercharger enabled and I can only assume that when a X or S has that enabled, supercharging will be free. On the Tesla website, it's listed as Standard Equipment that "Free long distance travel on Telsa's expanding...

Car Seats, what inside your X?

@LuckyX did you get pictures of your RXT installed? I'm curious as I couldn't get 2 Radians to sit correctly and so I gave up. Ended up swapping them to my wife's i3 and took the Britax Marathons which were easy to install. Someone can still sit in the middle if they're skinny or don't mind...

    First Model X with 8.0

So what happened to the apps in the apps menu? Slacker used to be there and that is where I used the Tesla login. On the media screen, TunedIn is listed but not Slacker. There is a login for Slacker at the bottom of Media Player but I don't know it for the Tesla account. My favorites that I had...

    First Model X with 8.0

I thought I did but don't recall the exact rev after 7.1. Just picked it up last Thursday from the factory so I would assume that it already had the security patch.

    First Model X with 8.0

Mine just finished an update and it was for 7.1 2.36.31. Guess I got too excited too soon.

Good solutions for lining up the X in a narrow garage door opening

So far I have the distance part worked out. I put duct tape down on the floor near my garage door so that I know where to stop when I'm looking at the rear view camera. Might have to check out the parking laser so I can get the X centered to where I need to be in the garage. First few days of...

    60D Order/Delivery Thread

Picked up my 60D this morning at the factory. Fit and finish came out pretty good. Didn't have a lot of time to do a detailed inspection of the car but did notice some minor things which they captured on the due bill to be fixed later. The delivery are was really busy and a lot of people around...

    60D Order/Delivery Thread

Cool and congrats!. I'm due to pick up mine tomorrow just about the same time and will be doing the tour afterwards. I guess that won't give me a lot of time to check the X over so I'll hit the important parts and get the DS to document anything required on the due bill. Hopefully it'll be...

Car Seats, what inside your X?

Anyone using any type of adapter for the seatbelt buckle? I'm not to that point yet but that bucket is practically flush with the seat so I would imagine it would be tough for the young one to reach down to buckle in or out. I like my Diono pad. It's just the half pad and might consider...
