Mine is making the same clicking noise but like you said it goes away after a few minutes. Those side panels also squeak when the ac is on so maybe it's all related. I tried taking it in for service, but of course it was a hot day and I used the ac all the way there... then the technician...

After a year now I still have to give it a good push down, not ideal but not horrible. By comparison we just bought a leaf and it take no force whatsoever to close. I could slowly lower the trunk into the closed position and it would lock. Ofcourse this is comparing two very different trunk lid...

Interesting. I've noticed when the windshield wipers are running intermittently and resting in their upper position, they sometimes whistle. Once they tuck themselves under the hood the sound goes away.
