I know a few current manufacturers do allow plant deliveries. You can fly out to Porsche in Germany and pick up your car off the line. What are the chances we will be able to pick it up from Teslas manufacturing plant and drive it back as to be able to pick it up as first batch and not have to wait?

I noticed this to and was just about to say. it felt a little awkward the way they opened the door with 2 hands. I have never needed 2 hands to open a door. this was a sign to me that those handles are not yet complete. as for finger prints, was it just me or did anyone else notice what looked...

Crossing my fingers that it was part of the special gift for the ones who waited outside :) I can believe that this is possible as while I was waiting in line, a guy was telling us a story of when he ordered his Model S. It was apparently the last batch before they moved to their new store...
