    Wij hebben een Cybertruck reservatie...

To all of you who have a reservation from Europe that you may not be able to turn into an order, in Europe, anytime soon: see here :)

Looking to buy an early Cybertruck to bring to Europe

Yeah – that’s not going to happen. At least not until Tesla brings it to Europe officially, but that’ll be 1-2 years at least. Mostly warranty I mean. No warranty work in Europe, until the CT is sold here. And even then most likely not for US sold vehicles. So if in that case you would be...

Looking to buy an early Cybertruck to bring to Europe

Yep – warranty we have considered. Our solution: if there is a warranty event that cannot be handled any other way than at Tesla in North America, like for instance a recall, we will ship it back there. And then back to Europe, again. That we have not considered... but I'm positive there might...

Looking to buy an early Cybertruck to bring to Europe

Hey guys, A car dealer I work with is considering buying an early Cybertruck, and shipping it to Europe. He sells a lot of pre-owned Tesla, and the idea is to have it serve as a lighthouse, to bring new customers to his business. Which it definitely would! So I am looking to buy an early...

EU Level 2 Chanrging - Single Phase, Three Phase

Ciao.. um, you! So you had the EnelX Wallbox first? Which means that it can't do power sharing with the Tesla Wall Connector; at least not natively. Since the Smart can charge on the TWC (as you know – but in the US that's a problem, because of the different plugs), you could hypothetically get...

Building wide load sharing for EV charging

Yes, currently it's up to 3 – but with a future firmware update, as I mentioned, it'll be up to 16. So the hardware is there; and we know that Tesla actually delivers on software.

EU Level 2 Chanrging - Single Phase, Three Phase

Ciao! Do you live in Rome directly? You mentioned an apartment. But you do have your own charging spot, with your own Tesla Wall Connector? How is public charging, in Rome? For those who don't have their own solution? Oh, and congrats to your Model Y!! 🥳

Building wide load sharing for EV charging

Tesla's own Wall Connector might just be able to do that. It says that Power Sharing for up to 16 units will be supported in a future firmware update... maybe someone else knows more about this? Have a look in the user manual – Power Sharing starts on page 23.

Interested in renting a Model S in Germany and Italy

Hi! I just stumbled upon your thread. About renting a Tesla in Munich, I suggest you drop the guys at NextMove a line (in English) at [email protected] . They are commercial, but their mission is to educate the public about EV's and to give people a chance to test them in-depth, more than it is...

Used Tesla Inspector in Southern California?

Here's what I would do; it'll cost you $250. Go to your local Tesla Service Center. Speak with the Service Concierge (= front desk) and explain your situation. Tell them that you'd like an experienced Service Technician to have a look at the car in their free time, and that there's $200 in it...

Processing Speed of Touchscreen in Model X/S vs. Model 3

Tesla will never offer such an upgrade for already sold cars; for the same reason they will never offer a battery upgrade: they want to sell new cars. I was asking to see if it was possible to create such an upgrade card independently. If it brings MCU performance on par with Model 3, I am sure...
  12. owen.shift

Processing Speed of Touchscreen in Model X/S vs. Model 3

But is it possible? What would the CPU for such an upgrade be? And would it work with the rest of the MCU (without a firmware update that would require Tesla's support)? What would be the total cost to manufacture such an upgrade board?

    Hello from the Netherlands!

Be advised that the free unlimited supercharging may end after April 30th. Even if you don't plan on driving long distances a lot, the peace of mind of not having to worry about how much it costs when you do is, in my opinion, priceless.

The Optimal vs Less than Optimal Time to Buy a Tesla

This. For everyone else: The perfect time to buy a Tesla is during the end-of-quarter sales push in September. It started on August 25th, when the prices on all inventory S 100D in Europe were dropped by €12k (~$14k). Tesla Inventory Search Go.

    100D 0-60 times improved?

I have noticed that on European inventory Model S 100Ds, the 0-60 mph / 0-100 kph times are stated as 3.3 seconds: Model S 100D 5YJSB7E26HF194908 | Tesla UK Model S 100D 5YJSA7E2XHF187513 | Tesla Belgique Model S 100D 5YJSA7E20HF192977 | Tesla Deutschland (On US cars they are not stated at...

Pulling the trigger; 2 UK Questions...

Sounds like you might mean the online store, UK localization? That would be tesla.com; look for the little flag at the very bottom of the page. If it's anything other than the Union Jack, click on it and change it. What do you mean by that? If the price on new cars has dropped, the price for...

Honest opinion is this worth a shot or is the $$ hit too big

If you decide to do it, you can get an inventory Model X during the end-of-quarter sales push next month at a hefty discount. In the meantime, learn how to read Tesla Inventory Search; and remember to give those guys your referral :)

Love It - Not for Long Drives

Of those 86 kWh, only 81.8 are actually usable. The 100 battery, on the other hand, is bigger than advertised (102.4 kWh with 98.4 usable); which means it has pretty much exactly 20% more capacity. That should safely give you 15% more real world range.
  22. owen.shift

    Super Charged Anxiety

Gah! I don't really care about the _absolute_ capacity of any of the packs. What I care about is that the 100D has 20% more capacity than the 90D, rather than just 11%. Because that's enough reason for me to upgrade.
  23. owen.shift

    Super Charged Anxiety

I concur! Still, I take 82 kWh net capacity on a '90' pack as a fact. @wk057 actually took apart a battery pack, down to the cell level, and then multiplied back up to arrive at total capacity. I just can't find it anymore :( But I found this instead! 102.4 kWh total capacity / 98.4 kWh usable...
  24. owen.shift

    Super Charged Anxiety

I wish. Those numbers are from this forum's very own @wk057, here (more here); and yes, my "calculations" were a bit rough. The 90D has 9.2 kWh more usable energy than the 75D. Yay! At least the 100D more than makes up for this: it actually has more capacity than advertised (102.4 kWh), of...

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

I got FSD because I want to be able to put the car in the second lane of a three lane Autobahn, and have it stay in that lane, at a set speed of 140 kph/85 mph, or slow down if there is a slower car in that lane; without me having to constantly supervise it. I want to be able to take my eyes off...
  26. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

So L3 requires FSD. That's what I want, and that's why I paid for FSD before delivery. And happily so.
  27. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

That's what I did, FSD at delivery. But you were asking about 'smart' money.
  28. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

Yes, particularly this week. The stock has been down the past several days because people don't get what the return of FUSC means for the future of Tesla. But all this has done was to create a buying opportunity for those who do get it. ;)
  29. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

Probably. Even smarter is to let that money grow a little by way of TSLA in the meantime
  30. owen.shift

    Super Charged Anxiety

I wouldn't say ignorance; but rather excitement, and thus nervousness. Like others have said here already: once you have some experience with the car, you will gain more confidence. And you will find supercharging to be one of its best features. And consider this: The 75(D), the 'smallest'...
  31. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

Why not? Because you think they will make us buy FSD for that?
  32. owen.shift

    HW2 not enough for self-driving?

I like to think of EAP as L3. Also: flying + (car wheels, roadkill or man holes). :p
  33. owen.shift

Struggling with my choice of P90D w/FUSC or 100D

Keep the 90D. The 100D is tempting (I'm in the same situation); but I really want FUSC. The peace of mind of not having to worry about what a road trip will cost is just priceless.
  34. owen.shift

    100D is here

They have drawn a clear line between the 90D with free supercharging for life, and the 100D without it. If they hadn't, there would have been many unhappy customers, jealous of the lucky few who got both.
  35. owen.shift

    100D is here

That was going to be my advice to you, too: Keep it. Peace of mind is priceless :)
  36. owen.shift

    100D is here

He was asking what it would cost to upgrade the battery on his already delivered car.
  37. owen.shift

    100D is here

It is now possible to get textile seats in combination with the Premium Upgrade :D

Tesla Superchargers in south Italy ?

No, they're not lying – they're just overly optimistic. Also, they are putting Superchargers first where they are needed the most; and there are not many Teslas in the south of Italy. Still, it is an important travel destination, so the south of Italy will be built out. It will just take a...

Official Tesla Model 3 Update Email and FAQ

What's with the "setting the record for the highest single-day sales of any product of any kind ever in world history."? Besides from those being reservations, not actual sales; I'm sure there were several models of iPhone that sold more than that in the first 24 hours of availability. EDIT...

    Model 3 Supercharging Capable Discussion

It might not even have to be 2c more: Here in Germany, the cost for electricity is approaching 30c / kWh. And that is Euro cents; so more than $.30. However, Tesla is not paying nearly that; it's probably not much more than 10 cents. So they could leverage their bulk discount, sell at market...

A few questions before I pay my £1000

    3) The deposit is fully refundable. Go! 4) Probably 1:1. Certainly not cheap for UK car prices; but Tesla is a premium brand. And you get a LOT for your money. Also, you will save quite a bit over the life of the car. How much does electricity cost in the UK (I really would like to know...
