Nothing attracts retail like big round numbers. At least try to use the MAs or fib levels; pick some observed level of buying pressure. Heck, if you really want to make some money and not gamble, learn about "market profile".
Was not referring to TSLA specifically but markets in general. But strictly on a valuation basis if Tesla were ever able to generate ~$5 EPS, then fair value is ~100/share (actually, less than that now they diluted with the recent offering)
In bear markets, fundamentals matter again: Tesla EPS...
It's not the size of the pin that pops the bubble that matters - it's the size of the bubble. We are only now back to Oct 2019 price levels. retesting Jan 2018 levels is likely in the next few months.
You don't have to tap on the screen to interact with the text support. Simply push in the right wheel scroll knob to read/reply/send messages instead of "tapping screen..."
This feature is not new in the states and has been around since late Summer. Most folks hate it - and there' s no way to turn it off permanently. More recent updates have calmed it down somewhat. But I agree, it should only act if it knows there's a lane well defined available and disable itself...
A recent fw upgrade will automatically trigger a driver profile for a given key used to operate car. You have to associate the key (i.e. phone) with the driver profile manually.
That would be a bad location - battling for spots with movie goers on weekends and holidays. Lots of building going on around the location noted; but I agree, downtown Vista area is not a likely location. A Target store or something near the 78 would be more likely.
My 3, new in May '19 got updates just fine through June. Then it didn't get any for two months; I created a ticket via app about it; cancelled it prior to appt and a update got pushed to me in early August - then no updates again for two months. Created a ticket again - but this time got a text...
Good find! 6am must be a universal end time for lowest elec rate, at least in US. That takes care of one aspect. But allowing to input rate tiers would still be helpful when needing to charge outside of night time.
Right, clearly Tesla left some wiggle room to be able to compete on the range metric and thus the point of the question. My guess is that they bring back the LR RWD, which I suspect they eventually will; it'll be rated at ~335 all else staying the same. I have a 2019 BTW. They made the LR RWD...
Yeah, I just talking "rated" range relative to the new rated range of the AWD M3 which is 322. I don't see a 8% diff in rated ranges from the original range of 310 for AWD and 325 for RWD. That's roughly ~5%
Noticed that they advertise a new AWD M3 LR at 322 miles or 3.8% more than its original rated range of 310. Applying the same % to the LR RWD model gets you 338 miles.
Is anyone with an LR RWD with 36.2.1+ fw getting over 325 miles of range?
I have 40.2.1 and am still getting 325miles in the...
We'll that is how it works now and could cont to be the default option if no rate range info is set. This makes sense for folks who charge up to 90%+ every night. But you won't be able to have it both ways and it should be an option. I'd rather complete charging within lowest elec rate time slot.
Doesn't work that way for me. I went out the other day about an hour before leaving and it was still charging at 8am. As documented, It will start charging such that it'll be done before scheduled time. There's no "done before 6am..." rule.
I have a short commute and leave for work typically around 9am. I normally only need to add 15% or so to the battery.
Tesla doesn't take into account the optional charging time period for best charging rates. It has tied the pre-conditioning with battery charging feature.
For instance, in CA...
I envision of the feature would be analogous to the quick checkout in the grocery store: yes, some people will ignore the limitation; many folks will not be happy. It's simply about increasing the throughput at smaller/busier SCs.
There's other issues too, like simply how would queueing up...
No I looked primarily in Az and NM and CO and KS, generally the mid-west.
This would only work for 300+ mile range cars - which is the trend for Tesla.
Playing around with ABRP last night and noting that most if not all trips along freeways only require ~15 minute stops to charge up to be able to get a couple of hours or so down the road. Some SC's along I40 only have 4 SCs, many only 6. I suspect that common in more rural areas of the...
As an added datapoint, I just checked my '19 May build LR RWD blue car and there's a gap there, quite visible, in the spot noted in this thread on the drivers side. So at least some cars were built correctly.
So my car had a fault or issued a fault in a "power controller" and thus was put on "restricted updates". SA stated they did a hard reboot and verified all was well and then did the updates. They must have monitored something for a while as they had it charging for a time after the updates...
It's at the SC now. The phone app says "In Service" and I'm getting notifications of updates. The first was to 32.2.4. A bit later now, and another is installing.
I had a mobile tech out recently; after he was done I asked him if he could update my software as I was still on v9.0 32.2.2. He was surprised I was still on that version. He checked and said that the car is in "updates restricted" mode. He didn't know what that meant - but recommended I take it...
Just had mine replaced yesterday by mobile tech after several weeks comparing it too the side-view dimming and determining it wasn't working. You can shine a bright light on the mirror when in a darkened area (your garage for instance) and/or at night and you should see the dimming. On Youtube...
Am I the only M3 owner without the v10 update yet? I've gotten only one update since June of this year, purchased in late May '19. Currently sit on 32.2.2
There's precedent for a class action. See Hyundai class action lawsuit where they advertised a certain MPG but cars got no way near that. So given the fact that Tesla uses software updates to significantly impact the primary feature of their auto mobiles - range - they are likely looking at a...
According to Bjorn:
Tesla heeft stiekum 5 kW uit Model 3 gehaald!
So now we have 70kW packs for those with LR versions. I wonder if SR- is affected, but old mid and SR+ probably are. SR+ is now SR- or worse!?
The display will still show that your range is what you expect, but under the covers...
AP works well now and for me since 20.4.2.2. So FSD gets you lane changes and entry/exit of freeway i.e. "navigate on AP". The other two features of note parking and summon are cool but not worth anything IMHO. Eventually FSD will get you city driving: detecting spot lights; signs, etc and I...
I did that on Monday - crickets. Sent an email yesterday but I don't expect a quick response maybe nothing. Chat wasn't an available option for me, thus the email. It will eventually get resolved.
I'm in the same boat: LR RWD purchased in late May of '19. Got updates no problem through June: in the drive way, in the garage. But nothing since late June and I'm on 20.4.2 as well. So Cal. Did the reboot, switched between 2.4 and 5.0; verified the model 3 was connecting to AP and getting IP...
Well, yeah. But the range that Tesla quotes on its cars are for "flat road, 60mph, no wind, 76 deg and a cold 12 pack in the frunk". Who cares if I can get 450 miles going 40mph.
The M3 gps is very accurate. I have home link and it has several features that are location based: open close garage door and fold and unfold the mirrors when near home. This is how it works:
When backing out of the garage, the home link info pane comes up and states "closing garage door in 5...
M3 owner here, That's the way it stil works. Must pause any audio; turn off any environment setting or it all automatically comes back on on door open (which door doesn'tt matter).
I also find the lack of location aware "walk away lock" feature lacking. I and many Tesla owners (if not most)...
My HomeLink will not close door when pulling out of driveway anymore. I used to get "...5 more feet..." type of message that indicated that it was waiting to actuate the door, but no longer since 20.4.1. Coming home, HomeLink works ok.
Came to this SC on 6-15-19; One supercharger nio; others only charged at 49kw when shared. Got "cannot not charge, check charging equipment" error after waiting and moving to another charger. Waited about 5 minutes and it started charging.
Agreed - not best location, but no worse than any other...
I hit 111kw at one point in the charge. Went there on 6-16-19. 4 of 5 spots full. By the time I left only 1 spot taken. Started and stayed at 49kw for some time and then got going. My SOC on arrival was 25%.
There was a jam coming into Kiingman from the north apprantely due to traffic trying...
That is odd. I ordered 5-13; modified it 5-14 to a LR RWD with same config Blue Aero Black Seats and was told there were only a couple white LR RWD available. Several AWD, but that was it. Got a 5/19 build on 5-25 supposedly fresh from Fremont.
Odd. Giving you a available Tesla would be cheaper than paying for credits or rental. Must be that some service centers are simply out of cars to lend for whatever reason - it's not a cost savings issue.
Those are all valid points that I also considered in the LR vs SR+ battle. Keep in mind, that HomeLink is no longer included with any trim. So depending upon when you ordered you may or may not get that $300 dollar feature.
A couple of others:
1) (Capable of) Much faster charge rate at...
