Blog SpaceX Offers to Buy Out Homeowners Near Texas Launchpad

Maybe but itll most likely get sorted out one way or another. My old company did the same thing for a neighborhood near our corporate campus. All houses were bought out but a Subway held out. We built around it until they caved and sold out.

Hey Tesla, there is a need for that NEMA 14-30 adapter still!

You had a huge hand in making this happen. Good job man.

    Tesla Master Plan Part 2 & 3

Risk vs rewards my friend. There's risk in business. Nothing is foolproof. We can mitigate as much as possible with cameras or other means but mischief may happen. It's part of being in business.

    Tesla Master Plan Part 2 & 3

I wondered about that too Jeff. I just don't know. I have a friend in Miami that told me he saw a billboard that read "Ollie - coming soon to pick you up". Guess they're expanding....

Trying to find a Tesla NEMA 14-30 adapter

I hate to be "that guy"...but to say that the "Tesla people reading these forums don't make decisions"... Is the ceo and president of global sales high enough to make decisions? Elon Musk on Twitter Tesla President comments on a forum to save Model X owner $1,400 on windshield quote Me...

What the? Monthly recurring fee for upgrades?

You're right, whew. I was looking at it on my phone and didn't scroll to the right to see what the setting was on. Disregard....thankfully.

What the? Monthly recurring fee for upgrades?

Order your Tesla Model S | Tesla Motors I just noticed there's monthly recurring fees for options. If this has been brought up already, my apologies. If not, wtf?

What Should Elon Include in His Top Secret Master Plan II

My guess, at least a portion of it, will be about Mobility...an Uber like service that they'll launch once their production of the 3 catches up with the demand. If they don't use the 3, then it'll be a mobility service announcement along with an announcement of a new car to use with the mobility...

    Model S 60 on a Road Trip

Sorry...hit post accidentally. My point is I think you'll be just fine, without worry, in a year or 2. Supercharger is nice but the destination charging locations has helped my father and I on more than a couple of occasions when taking road trips.
  16. G

    Model S 60 on a Road Trip

One thing to keep in mind is that SC and destination charging locations are increasing exponentially. If you look on tesla's webite (not mobile site) and click on "charging" you'll see by default a map that shows the number of SC as of today. You can click "2016" on the map and see how many more...

Close, lol. I haven't been in a accident since college...that was 23 years ago.
  19. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Ok So the investigating officer that filled out this initial report marked "failure to yield" to the truck driver. But this does not prove it's true unless determined by the courts or insurance companies...correct? In other words, the trucker hasn't been found legally liable yet unless it's...
  20. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I'm trying to determine what's the facts. Is it a fact or not that the truck driver has been found to be the primary cause of the crash? Fact or not? That's all I'm trying to find out. If it was definitively proven that he was at fault, I assume he was issued a citation or arrested or...
  21. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

That does not determine who caused the crash or who's primarily at fault. The final report isn't out so how are you able to conclusively say who caused what?
  22. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Those source links do not conclude that the truck driver was at fault in any way. The final determination of the cause of the crash has not yet be determined and may take serveral weeks before its released. Initial crash reports do not determine who is at fault. We'll just have to wait and see...
  23. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Do you have a link source for that? If true, I didn't realize that was their findings.

It's all good. I respect everyone's position. We may not agree on some things, but that's ok. Ive driven the S for about 18k miles with roughly 4-6k miles on AP. My father has a 85D and I have his car for 2-3 days a week. He's close to retiring and lives next door so I'm lucky in almost...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I'm simply pointing out one specific issue, if you call that crucifying...whatever. Tesla isn't perfect and that's ok, no company is. But to not question or to always take a favorable position without objectively...well I won't do in this case. As far as me or anyone else using the word beta...

You think im a short or tesla basher? Get real man. I'm just as passionate about the tesla movement as the most obsessive tesla advocate. Read my post history and just get real. I'm objectively (for once pertaining to tesla) giving my opinion on this specific issue. I love tesla like most...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I've written about this in previous posts... From how im undestanding it (and please correct me if I'm wrong), AEB isn't the root cause here. AEB never received any signal to fire because AP didn't give it a signal to fire. AP didn't give it a signal to fire because the radar didn't give AP a...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Good question Mike and I think I see where you're going with this. I believe the logical answer would be yes it would if the data, without a shadow of doubt, proved that. Appreciate the different perspective...mind officially blown. Gil

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

This type of accident hasnt happened ever while AP was in use. It's the first death. So while the TYPE of accident isn't abnormal, the circumstance is certainly abnormal...hence the on going investigation. We're on the same team here. Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Well..there you have it. I completely disagree and thats fine. Thank God no other deaths were involved. I can't fathom the ramifications this incident would have produced if my child, your child, or anyone for that matter would have been killed in addition to Josh. I'm thinking your stance...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I'm not debating that it's not the best system out there compared to anything similar, (although others will catch up eventually and/or surpass it) I know it is. I use it all the time myself. I know it's great and I understand the nags. My point was tesla was the first manufacturer to release...
  37. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Your logic makes zero sense. Comparing an electrician dying while working on a supercharger is no where equal to comparing if someone died at the fault of beta "imperfect" AP system. But I got my answer from you and clearly see your position on sacrifice a few for the betterment of society...
  38. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Was a beta version system similar to AP involved by any of those drivers?
  39. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

So let me sure I'm understanding what you're saying here, although it seems pretty clear. You're all for a "very few" deaths to occur if AP is involved for the betterment of society?
  40. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I'm fully aware on the approaches of other companies on this. I think I'm now agreeing with Google approach
  41. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

You're comparing people sniffing paint to those who are performing irresponsible actions on a beta released imperfect system applied in a 4500lb vehicle that shares the road with millions of other vehicles? Ok, to each his/her own.
  42. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

They say yes to implement it but tesla is the first to do it in this matter...and the first by a long shot.
  43. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Appreciate the info. My understanding of what tesla and mobileye are saying is mobileye cant do anything about crossing traffic but tesla's in house software can. If that's the case, which certainly sounds like it is, the software operating the radar confused the truck as an overhead sign...
  44. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Maybe so and I hope so...but that won't change the fact that I'm not willing to trust you.
  45. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

And there's one of the issues I brought up earlier. Tesla obviously understand that those people who do this can harm or kill people by using the beta system. They also knew/know if such an incident did occur, hell would break out. So my question (primarily to myself), is it responsible to...
  46. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Then I hope we don't get near each other on the road.
  47. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Not releasing any cars? We aren't talking about just any tech here. This tech can drive a car hands free in the proper conditions. Ground breaking, disruptive tech. No other tech in cars come even close to comparison. Bad camparison
  48. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

We'll it's one thing for me not to use it but a completely different scenario knowing others out there are using it irresponsibly. That's where I'm hung up on. Tesla says you're responsible for your actions with this tech..ok, got it. They're attempting to deflect blame off them and on...
  49. G

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

Then I'll question if releasing a beta version of a tech to the general public, even if people check off on teslas consent screen, that's imperfect can kill you or others is a responsible thing to do. I'm all for progressing into level 4, the gray area for me is lvl 2 and how we make that mesh...
