Yes, it's 3M tape with what is claimed to be real CF on a veneer. I am not sure how you can determine if the CF is "real". It seems good quality and similar to my real CF trim on my dashboard.

Definitely don't spend $500. I got them for half that with my link above. It looks like it's all the same from Hong Kong FWIW.

Anyone know where I find these carbon fiber trim pieces for the steering wheel? I saw a pic of this on Amazon review for the pedals. Of the carbon fiber cutouts I saw replace go on top of the silver trim, but I like this look better.

I would be ordering the same except with Black Nappa Leather. it's very pricey, so I am thinking about it long and hard. I am a little nervous with the install too. The installation video makes it look pretty easy.

Personal taste, but I prefer matte to glossy. Stays cleaner and looks more subtle IMO.

Taking your trim pieces off is a good 1.5 hour job, intermediate complexity. I am not particualry handy and figured out how to do it by watching you tube videos and searching this forum.

I assume your talking about the tray? I got the ICEBeamer Carbon Fiber one from Amazon. The wireless charging tray never worked great which is why I bought the Tesla OEM.

I have a reply button and when I dictate, the MCU acts like it gets sent, but doesn’t.
