2019.40.50.7. Looks like I'm missing a bit of the last page. Sorry. Twenty-five minutes, no problems no issue.

Got an update notice a few minutes ago for 2019.40.50.7. Says suspension may be lowered during the 25 min update.

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

Ya Sagebrush. Got better things to do than stay on the forum all day, like putting miles on my MS and eating garbage beef. Sorry if my posts don't meet with your approval.

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

We can agree to disagree on the benefits of "fake" meat. I'm pushing 73 and still going pretty strong with a variety of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and fish in my diet. I see no need to make changes.

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

It's very simple. Perhaps it was too difficult for you. First, I do support the environment in many ways but I'm not jumping the the fake meat bandwagon, at least not now. And no, climate change isn't going to cause the world to end in 10 years.

There isn't anything there I wouldn't eat as well.

Non-union labor, processing and delivery. Wouldn't be sold if you trust the FDA. SFO and NYC areas are micro-economies where everything is double to begin with and only goes up from there.

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

How is not jumping on the Beyond (fake) Meat bandwagon trolling? It's a matter of preference here in an open forum. Burger King and others are selling their own versions of plant-based burgers ('Impossible' Whopper for one), which has only 10% less cholesterol but up to 30% more sodium than a...

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

Oops! Ribeyes up to $3.99 lb. this week! Never mind, picked up a nice 12 lb. pork butt this week. Roasted it low and slow. $8.07 for 12 lbs., very tasty and can't be beat! :) Lamb shoulder steaks down to $3.99 lb. also.

BYND Beyond Meat out of main

Working on my second Model S and home power needs are fully offset with solar. I recycle everything. Outdoor gardens totally on drip system and more. I have a hard time eating bugs, worms, larvae and other creepy crawlers. Maybe it's a textural thing. I'm not sold on lawn clipping sausages...

Check Out the Cybertruck Promo Photos

I can see how Cybertruck doesn't appeal to everyone, but Tesla is going to sell a ton of them for what others don't have, vision, technology, efficiency and more not to mention that awesome 500 mile range and dusting off supercars!

    Tesla App Not Working

Sorry, the app is: Tesla Remote NOT Remote Tesla :)
  13. S

    Tesla App Not Working

Not quite sure where to post this but "Software Updates" seemed to be a good place since one is needed for the App. So for the first time this morning, I was a victim of the "Tesla app not working". Luckily, the car was in the garage, connected to power, and I had my key fob (not that it...

Tesla Sales Almost Equal Porsche In Germany In March 2019

And how many cars did Holland ship to Germany during the same time period? Tesla and Elon Musk eating Porsche's lunch....IN GERMANY! Love it !

Tesla To Slash Workforce In Effort To Bring Cheapest Model 3 To Market

Agree. Visited mall stores a couple of times before buying but not based on any information I was able to gain from these Tesla 'babysitters". Actually, I think I knew more about the cars than anyone in any of the two locations I visited. Perhaps doing a little manual labor at one of the Giga...

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

Oh well, I hate to be a pessimist. It's like I said earlier (2018), "Maybe, just maybe next year". Now, would that be 2020? C'mon guys. I'm going to be 72 and my pulse oximetry is down to 96!

Anyone have experience with Pomona body shop?

Yes, they are a Tesla service and body shop or at least approved to perform services on Tesla cars: Body Shop Support
  19. S

Anyone have experience with Pomona body shop?

Also, the facility is fairly new. The customer waiting area isn't much better than a police station interrogation room. Had a couple sofas and a table. No vending machine, no magazines or newspapers, no coffee just sit and play with WiFi. You need to sign in when entering the large building...

Anyone have experience with Pomona body shop?

Through my own fault, I got a ding the size of a dime on my S100D rear hatch just above the "T" badging. So I took it to Pomona, at least to get a quote. I had no referrals. Guy came out with a clipboard, made some notes and said he would shoot an email quote to me by end of day. He originally...

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

No changes since the most recent post. The two superchargers that have been damaged/vandalized are still in that state. Nothing new at the site as of 11 am this morning. The wind was blowing hard, shredding the last of whatever plastic wrapping was on the superchargers. Maybe, just maybe next...

Question for legal experts: Sue Big Auto for adverse health effects of particulate air pollution?

Anything is possible. I presume you have a room full of big-time, top-notch, corporate lawyers all lined up for a lot of pro-bono work that will last a decade or so? They only take 40% or maybe 50% in this action. Notwithstanding years of legal battling in the courts, this is going to take a...

    New Solar Install

I highly recommend a ground-mounted system if you have space, say 1/2 acre or more. They are easy to access, easier to work on (great for DIYers), provide stronger racking, no need to conform to roof dimensions required by code (at least in most US localities), permitting fees negligible ($600...

    Punishment for people damaging Superchargers

If any of these lowlifes have $24.86 to their name, it was probably stolen. In California, these people are considered "victims", so they suffer very little if any punishment.

    New Solar Install

Ground mounted my 24 panels, fixed tilt, 19º @180º azimuth. No roof worries and no expensive cleaning worries along with liability concerns.

    New Solar Install

Pray tell. Those must be pretty powerful panels. System details?
  27. S

    East/West Solar vs South-Facing

If you have space, a ground-mounted system is the only way to go IMO. I have a large parcel, so I'm on the ground. Easy maintenance if you need it (I haven't) and much cheaper and/or easier to clean. I pay a local company $70 once a year for cleaning with de-ionized water. You could also...
  28. S

    East/West Solar vs South-Facing

I agree that fixed, south facing is the best (with a minimum number of panels) most cost-efficient solution. My ground-mounted system faces due south, 19º tilt. Perfect bell curve peaking at noon (plus or minus depending on season). Now, if money is no issue for building your system, you could...

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

tQUOTE="⚡️ELECTROMAN⚡️, post: 3252405, member: 50403"]They’re kind of slammed right now. Ya, with people requesting tire pressure checks. My Lexus gets free tire rotations for life and no waiting as well. Go figure.........

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

I have a love-hate relationship with Tesla. First, I love my S100 (upgraded from S75). It's truly the first car I have ever owned that enjoy driving day after day, after day. I hate my S100, because it's the second Tesla I've owned that has tires (Goodyears) that constantly lose tire...

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

Cruised by yesterday (12/5) at 11:15. No activity and no changes observed. Funny how Edison talks a lot of "Go Green" smack. Edison, you talk the talk but can you walk the walk? As a side-note, this past Sunday morning, Rancho Cucamonga was full up when I took the last available slot around...

    Supercharger - Payson AZ

Good news on the construction but we all know the miracle is the installation of the utility transformer, as is the case with Fontana, CA. Tesla took it as far as it could go months ago but still no transformer....

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

As I approached the site early this afternoon, I could see two very big SCE trucks at the SC lot in the distance. What? As I got closer, I noticed both trucks were parked at the end of the SC lot and not at the business end, where the transformer will be installed. I parked in front of the...

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

Kinda sad Tesla and utility companies can't sink up completion a little better. In the end, even Ft Stockton kicked butt on construction and activation. So much pent-up demand and days of frustration waiting. Ya, thanks @tbleakne for stopping by this morning. I was heading up the hill tomorrow...

What’s worse than an ICEd charging spot...

I saw this sign in the very congested central plaza area of Santa Fe, New Mexico. I thought a variation of this would be great at Tesla Supercharger locations! Instead of reading "Private Parking", it could read "Tesla Charging. Others Park at Your Own Risk!"
  36. S

    What's your 90%?

Almost same here. Full charge once at 335 miles and usually 90% (or max daily driving) for 301 miles. Last 10% is hardly worth waiting around for unless SC'ers are really scarce for your road trip. On a road trip now and currently in Monument Valley, AZ (The View Hotel). Heading back to So Cal...

Supercharger - Fontana, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2019, 24 Urban type)

You beat me to it, as I passed through yesterday around 10:30 AM. Couldn't post right away. As noted, the fence is down. Ordinarily, I'm prone to believe it's because Edison has notified the property owner or Tesla that access must be open. Is a transformer installation imminent? Wish it was...

Supercharger - Downey, CA - Lakewood Boulevard (LIVE 25 May 2018, 12 Urban stalls)

While Tesla is light years ahead of any other major brand in developing a global charging network specific to their brand, this can hurt as well as benefit Tesla owners. A good number of Teslas manufactured to date have been closing in or exceeded $100K. So are ICErs jealous because they can't...

Supercharger - Downey, CA - Lakewood Boulevard (LIVE 25 May 2018, 12 Urban stalls)

Unfortunately, BEV numbers are still to low to bring this up on the radar of people that can stop this nonsense. I'd love to be a fly sitting on the charger on the day when six tow trucks pull up and drag all six out of their stalls. Actually, I would pay top dollar for that show....

Who Is Offering The Best Insurance Rates?

Can't bundle my secondary home with Ameriprise like I can with AMICA, so I would probably get scalped finding somebody to cover it separately. Otherwise, I would probably go with them, $1,297/6 months.

Who Is Offering The Best Insurance Rates?

If you're not trying to bundle homeowner's and autos, like I'm trying to do, I can say that I'm currently getting quotes from Progressive, Wawanesa, and Ameriprise for between $1,150 - $1,300/6 months. That's for an '18 100D, and '17 Lexus ES350 (high-end Camry). Over 70 years, retired, avg...

Who Is Offering The Best Insurance Rates?

The same exact thing happened to me a couple years ago when I bought my '75! Terrible experience! They asked me for a copy of my registration card after they had everything else for nearly a month. They gave me a couple weeks to send them a copy it. Ok, fine - no problem. A couple of days...

Supercharger - Buena Park, CA (removed from car nav 31 Aug 2018 but still operational, 8 V2 stalls)

Local or not, I think all Tesla owners should have equal access to available Tesla services. I'm off on another road trip in about three weeks to states and cities, where I've never charged. It wouldn't be right not to have the supercharger location on NAV, when it was really open for locals...
