    Differernces between 2016 X and 2018?

Seems like the big Q is if it is AP 1 or AP 2. We got our x in Dec of 2016. We have AP 2 and bought EAP and FSD, so will be able to get the AP 3 upgrade when it comes out. Other than that the only difference i've noticed is a change in buttons for the falcon wing doors.

Any folding rear trunk mat for 6/7 seaters?

I have the Lloyd rubbertite all weather mats for a6 seater. The rear mat covers the third row and cargo area but it can be cut with a utility knife to cover individual seats and cargo area. You loose a little protection but not much. I usually have the shelf in the lower position so this enables...

Will skis fit inside the 5 seater?

210s!! Haven't seen those sized skis years. I put my skis (Nordic and downhill) underneath the front passenger seat. I have a 6 seater so a little different rear seat posts. They fit almost parallel to the body of the car going underneath the front seat and on the inside of the monopost for the...

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

I have family there and installed a HPWC at their place. PM me if you are ever in a bind and need a place to charge. I've also charged at the parking deck at the base of the ski mountain. Looks like steamboat is also supposed to be getting a supercharger sometime in 2018!

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

Nice to know the reason for poor traction! We drove through Walden later that day but coming from Cameron Pass. Coming over Cameron the roads were snow covered but still fine. Tires handled well but not as good as last year when they were brand new (i now have 10k miles on them). There were a...

Any ideas to keep the 2nd seat cup holders from popping out from little feet?

Same thing happened to me but because of my dogs. Whenever they would rest their heads on the center armrest they would open the cupholders. Once it was open they thought it was a great step! One time I heard a unknown noise and closed it. Now it doesn't auto-open but isn't necessarily a bad...

    Slacker not working over LTE

I'm having this problem too. I called Tesla service and they said that they have been getting a lot of reports that Slacker is not working over mobile networks (but it does on wifi...)

    6-seater headrests

+1 I too find the second row to be quite comfortable and enjoy sitting back there on longer drives (normally i'm driving).

    Thule T2 Pro XT $463 or 1UP $609

When you fold up the 1Up are you able to fit it in the lower storage area in the trunk?

    Thule T2 Pro XT $463 or 1UP $609

I have the T2 Pro XT and really like it. My brother in-law has the 1-up and really likes it... We both use it carry around road and mtn bikes. You can't go wrong with either. I get a Thule pro-deal so i went with that. The X back hatch can open with the Thule in the upright position. Both are...

    Model X Winter Driving Experience

I had this same problem driving my car in Colorado this winter during some of the big snowstorms. My garage is unheated so it never melted away either. It caused really high energy usage driving around town. Eventually I raised the suspension and used the ice scraper to get the snow out of the...

    AP2 / 8.1 : "Cruise Not Available"-AP intermittently not working in 17.11.{3,10} versions

I'm referring to the auto headlights, not the auto high beam. It is a bright sunny day and the headlights are always on.

    AP2 / 8.1 : "Cruise Not Available"-AP intermittently not working in 17.11.{3,10} versions

Also noticed that my headlights stay on all the time in the "auto" mode.

    AP2 / 8.1 : "Cruise Not Available"-AP intermittently not working in 17.11.{3,10} versions

I got mine Dec 22nd. Have never gotten the "camera calibrating message" even for the earlier software releases.

    AP2 / 8.1 : "Cruise Not Available"-AP intermittently not working in 17.11.{3,10} versions

I have this same problem. There were a few times where I would leave the house and not have autopilot or "cruise". After running errands and driving back home I would have autopilot, but only on 3 occasions. After the latest update (8.1 17.11.10) I haven't had any autopilot or TACC. Called...

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

I too have been happy with the stock all seasons. However having experienced the difference between winter tires and all season tires, they add a lot of stability and control (and confidence) when driving in poor conditions. We drive over Cameron pass so much that I want to be prepared for the...

Winter driving is great! Was planning on getting snow tires but will probably wait till next winter. Cold temps really kill the range. Looking forward to summer driving and more range

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

This is a different route. 287 to 14, over Cameron pass and through Walden before joining up with US 40 just before rabit ears pass. Going via silverthorne adds significant time and distance. If I were coming from Denver it would be a different story...

    Claws, Dogs and White Leather

We have a 6 seat configuration with Ultra-white seats. So far so good with our 2 dogs. Dirt wipes off really easily. We lay the dog beds in the middle of the 2nd row and in the 3rd row with the seat down. Recently did a 3 hour drive with a ski bag and it was no problem.

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

I picked up my X 90D just before christmas! Loving it so far. I've done the drive from Steamboat to Ft. Collins twice and Ft. Collins to Steamboat once (picked up in Denver and drove I-70 route one time). I'm very comfortable doing the Steamboat-FOCO leg, even think i could leave the starting...

    Model X Winter Driving Experience

I drove from Steamboat to Fort Collins this week and averaged 525 Wh/mi over 155 miles and a net elevation loss of 1932 ft. I started with a 100% charge and ended with 30%. Conditions were pretty bad; heavy snow and winds. Since then it has been very cold and even more snow in Fort Collins...

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

Thanks kort677. I was hoping to find someone that has done the drive. I will have a hpwc installed at my family's house there so no issues on charging... Would be great to get some chargers set up in Walden. I think that drive is beautiful and would be great to get more EVs doing it!

Range in winter conditions and mountain driving

I just put in my order for a X90D but before I confirm I wanted to check and see if anyone has data on efficiency loss while driving in the mountains in the the winter. I live in ft Collins, CO and have family in Steamboat Springs and will be doing that drive rather frequently. It is 155 miles...
