It'll be interesting to see what the rules are, when we have single stack FSD "maybe next month"...! With 75 mph speed limits on highways, it's pretty easy (even necessary/safer sometimes) to push it over 80 on occasion. If that starts to be a 'ding', I'll have to stop using it on the highway. 😞

I have noticed a clear difference from 19" PS4S to 19" PSAS4. However, it is highly dependent on road surface. Smooth/new asphalt is quiet on both, but a surface that been roughed up by studded tires is distinctly loader on the ASs. I don't know if it the lack of foam inserts or something...

The toggle is enabled. And, the auto-present works if the car is fully awake already. Just not if I've been away from it for like an hour, or more. Plus the dome lights matching the door handles seems like another hint about what's wrong.

Yep. (See previous post. ) I'm using android phone, by the way. Key fobs seem to work fairly reliably, but not the phone, and regardless of whether I've woken up the phone. The car does unlock, so it must be seeing the phone. Just doesn't auto-present and doesn't turn on the dome lights...

Same problem. It's like the car is "too asleep". If I approach when it has been active very recently (like minutes ago), they present. Otherwise, I have to poke them to get them to come out. By the way, interior "dome" lights don't come on when opening the door, either, if the door handles...

So, all the jokes aside :), I am also a woodworker, and I find the wood trim in my Plaid to be quite acceptable. Is not a smooth, high gloss finish, but still has open grain. It is otherwise smooth and even across the surface.

Same here. That is, on the "it figured itself out" part. How about a "front passenger seat restraint system malfunction detected" warning? Is that the same sort of thing, that goes away on its own (isn't a real fault)? It happened to me, but was gone the next day.

That happens. Give it a day (maybe two) and see if your dates jump to something new.

Has anyone else noticed that the app used to have tick marks on the charging limit slider, to show each 10%? It was a little tricky to set it right at 80% (or whatever), but at least you could see where that is. Wonder why they removed those?

I had only two very minor issues, which were fixed in 5 minutes, during my delivery inspection. I discovered a third issue 2 days later, stopped by the SC with no appointment and they fixed it, again in less than 5 minutes. Since then, no issues at all. Never had an issue with my 2016 S, either...

I had the similar piece, except further forward which means it has an actual snap-in fastener, drop down. To it to the SC. The first answer was that I needed to schedule a mobile service to get it fixed. But, the service was VERY friendly, and happy to talk, and walk outside to look at it...

I'm also torn, tbh. If the lobster forks were just a half shade darker, I'd be all in for leaving the covers off. Not sure it's worth getting them painted/powder coated, though - but just my opinion. I'll probably just go with the covers on.

Same for me. There were three Plaids with 438 at my SC, when I took delivery. @HFh, what's your question/thought about those VINs?

Just a heads up to those who haven't taken delivery yet. My SA said the 100 miles thing is region/SC specific. In my case, the SC can afford the time at delivery, so they want issues reported before accepting the car. Just one SA at one SC - YMMV.

I don't know who you mean by "told by Tesla", but my Plaid came with summer tires for the 19s, and so has every delivery I've heard/seen here. By the way, did you mean LR, or any MS? I think it is still *possible* that some LRs, by region/ time of year, might get AS. But, looks very unlikely.

At least here in CO the 19s are summers on my Plaid. Don't know if it's regional, but we certainly get snow (not as harsh as Northern plains, but if they're doing any AS, you'd think we'd get them here).

I had one of those on my floor, too (before delivery prep). I have one of (maybe _the_?) first 19s delivered at my SC. Production date is first week of Aug. I got the VIN just a couple days later. Could they really have had a sale fall through and get the car to me that quickly? I should ask...

Actually, before taking possession. My issues were 2 small paint chips that nobody but me would have noticed - fixed with touch up on the spot, and 2 missing fasteners in the wheel well which were also fixed on the spot.

I have to pile on, that the experience _can_ be really good. I had excellent communication from my SA (once I had a VIN), my delivery times did slip, a little (but per @jebinc predictions), but my SA was on top of it, set a delivery date that stuck, and the delivery experience was great. So...

I picked up on Friday, and brought a cashier's check to the delivery. Didn't "pay" (sign docs or turn over the check) until I was satisfied that all issues were corrected. (Teaxs is probably different due to the "delivery" in CA scenario. )

3 Plaids with 19s are at my SC, near Denver. (One of them is mine! :) ) The tires are P Zeros, with small PZ4 stamped near the rims, and also stamped Select. I've heard PZ4 means summer tire, and Select means AS. So, what does it mean when they say both?

First real EDD (ignoring ones from the spring that were obviously monkey fling) was 8 days ago. EDD had been slipping day for day (mostly only the first date - see sig for details).

Got a VIN, on 19"s! EDD is now Aug 12-18. Monkey, do your thing! @verdee, I bet we're on the same truck...
