New Superchargers Proposed in Greensboro and Raleigh, NC

At least half of the Sheetz charging spots have signs limiting parking to Tesla charging only.

Supercharger price hikes: what's your opinion?

In my best Mr. Rodgers' voice: "Can you say class action lawsuit, boys and girls?" Tesla can't exactly unilaterally cancel its agreement to provide free supercharging to the folks who bought cars with free supercharging.

    Vendor TRUNK LIGHTING BY NORM

The wire on the passenger side is in a different place than the driver side because of the subwoofer. Look in the back right corner under the tail light. Mine was actually slightly around the inside corner along the rear wall (along the back as opposed to the side of the trunk).

How reliable is your Model S?

I have had my S 100D for 18 months (22K miles). The only time I have had it into the Service Center was to get the free unleashing of the battery to improve performance. Zero problems so far and haven't even had to change tires (despite my heavy foot). Most reliable car I have ever had.

How do you do it from your Tesla App?

    The Saga continues.....Regretting this purchase

This car is why "lemon" laws were created. You have given them ample opportunity to repair it. Tesla needs to give you a new car or a refund. My dad was a Lincoln/Mercury dealer for many years, and sometimes ,a manufacturer delivers a "bad" car, even Lincolns. It happens with all manufacturers...

    Why I Won't Be Purchasing My 3rd Model S

I have had two M5s and an M3 convertible. The M3convertible in particular was a lot of fun to drive. I wouldn't swap all three for my 100d. The M cars are loud and extremely rough riding. They are tremendously expensive to operate and maintain (BMW is only slightly less expensive than MB)...

At this point, FSD would be worth the price if all it did was turn off AP nag!

Let me save you $5 K. Raise you seat slightly, put your knee under the steering wheel and drop the steering wheel so that it makes light contact with your knee. You can feel your knee slightly resist the constant twitching of the steering wheel.Switch knees occasionally for comfort. I just...

Only way to use Autopilot now..Pic

I have been successful defeating the nag by putting a small cushion on top of my thigh and applying constant light pressure to the bottom of the steering wheel with my thigh through the cushion.

MB Sales guy's anti-Tesla sales pitch

Dealer's don't get it. Manufactures do this id why car dealers may soon become dinosaurs.

    Permanent Tesla grin.

    Who made this Monstrosity

Someone ought to come up with a kit to make the Model 3 front look like the refreshed S.

    Supercharger - Statesville, NC

My guess is that dumping Statesville makes adding a SC on I-77 in northwest Charlotte close to the intersection with I-485 much more likely.

My Model S 100D Broken Immediately After I Took Delivery

Stuff happens. On all cars, you are more likely to experience a problem within the first week of delivery than at any other time (except for the week after your warranty expires).

All the Things that Suck About AutoPilot

Perhaps it is just your AP seeking retribution for publicly trashing it. Perhaps you should refer to it as HAL.;)

More likely the derivation comes from what happens to your neck when bending over working the fields under a hot southern sun. My grandfather was an old-timey tobacco farmer (used a mule and plow), and he clearly had a red neck.

Need advice dealing with not-at-fault insurance claim

You are entitled to recover from the responsible party all the damages you have incurred, and DV is a very real damage. There is no requirement that there be a specific DV law. DVs are recoverable just like your other damages, but you have to prove them. You will need an "expert" to testify...

Our only regret is that we did not buy our two Model S sooner.:D

Is uncorking 75D unfair to 90/100D owners?

I have a S100d, and I don't think uncorking the S 75 is the least bit unfair. Of course Tesla uncorked my S100D and will uncork our S75 at the next service visit.:D
  22. MDMGSO47

    Supercharger - Greensboro, NC

Yep. There is always a line because the air pump is really slow, but the line usually forms on the other side of the air pump.

I took my friend for a ride and his Neighbor asked "why on earth did he buy a Tesla"

In my lifetime, I have spent a great deal of money on beautiful cars and fast women. The rest of the money I wasted. Whatever floats your boat.

    NC Model 3 deliveries

I was at the Raleigh SC today to get my S 100D uncorked, and they actually have a Model 3 outback. I also saw them driving it around in the area. The guy who handled the sale of my car told me that he is taking delivery of his model 3 tomorrow (the one I saw was not his). The Model 3 looks...

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

Had my 100D (VIN 1987.., ordered April, built mid-June, delivered June 30, 2017) uncorked in Raleigh today. Nothing to it and just involved a software download. Service tech confirmed it now has a P1 performance configuration. It may be my imagination, but it feels like it has extra quickness...

Probably awaiting City inspection. They are notoriously slow.

    Feeling judged...

If your friends and acquaintances are car guys /girls, let them drive the car. They'll get it. If they don't, "I pity the fools!" As for the ones who aren't car people, "Forgive them, for they know not what they do". In fact, I have made a number of new friends who are also Tesla enthusiast...

They are there. Below is a photo of two of the 15 minute general parking signs (taken with my phone so excuse the blurry nature) About half of the spaces are limited to Tesla only with the remaining spaces limited to 15 minute general parking

Hey guys! New owner here and would appreciate your opinion

My wife had one fail early on her 2016 titanium S75. No problems since. I wonder if the problem is the titanium color . . . .

    Supercharger - Greensboro, NC

Just went by the GSO supercharger. They are removing the fencing and putting out final mulch. All landscaping is in. They are leaving by day's end but don't know when the switch gets flipped.
  34. MDMGSO47

    Supercharger - Statesville, NC

Unfortunately, Tesla's decision to proceed with Hickory is likely the end of the Statesville location due to their proximity. I think it is likely that there will be a new SC in northwest Charlotte on I-77 near I-485
  35. MDMGSO47

    Supercharger - Greensboro, NC

I went by the site this morning, and there has been lots of progress. The individual chargers have been set. There are 7 back-in and 1 pull- in. The switch boxes have been set. Assuming no city inspection or Duke Energy problems, the GSO SC should be open for business well before Christmas

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

Just called the Raleigh Service Center, and asked about uncorking my S 100D (June 20 manufacture). They knew exactly what I was talking about, checked my vehicle's specs and confirmed my car was eligible. We set up a service appointment, all easy-peasy.

    Model S 100D Performance Upgrade

AP1 vs AP2 from someone who owns both

I waited until July, 2017 to take delivery of the S 100D with AP2 to give Tesla time to get some of the kinks out.

AP1 vs AP2 from someone who owns both

We have both, and I find very little difference. My AP2 is entirely dependable and I love driving it. I don't understand all the complaining about AP2.
