My understanding is that this is the cost to replace the battery - either 85 for 90 since they don't manufacture 85 packs, or 90 for 90, and yes, they do keep the existing pack.

I agree - I've been reading in some other places that this pack could support faster charge rate - the service advisor may be incorrect on that point.

Yes, $14,800 for the 90KWH battery (part 1102980-01-A), $15,097 with other parts, $370 labor, total cost w/tax $16,638. I was told 100% range would be 284 with this pack, but no change to super charging rate.

Service center quoted me today $15-16K to replace my degraded P85+ battery with a 90. I haven't read all the posts in this thread - is this about in line with other estimates?

Took my Tesla in last week for a door handle replacement and range loss concern - got these responses for the latter.

I'm now +8 (208 @90%) on 28.2 after dropping 26 (226 to 200) - 2015 P85+ AP1 50k miles.

I’m in OC - 2014 P85+ w/50k miles - down 30 miles - 252 to 222.

September 2014 AP1 P85+ w/<50k miles - to date dropped from 253 to 222 @ 100%, 227 to 201 @ 90%. Mobile service diagnosed and told me all is fine, asked if I supercharged a lot and say it's normal degradation. Setup an appointment with service center, but suspect I'll get the same response.

4 weeks would have been Dec 20, but sales advisor said they couldn't guarantee that or even delivery by end of year.

I placed the order - 4 week delivery: $2500 + $1000 - refunded full amount. Sales advisor said they don't have a no-refund policy in place currently for Model 3s like they do for X and S. I hadn't received a VIN yet, I think if I had they wouldn't have refunded.

You might consider canceling. I cancelled my Model 3 (order placed Nov 22) last week and they provided a full refund.
