odd layout. easy to miss. one-way loop to access. make sure to enter on western-most side of loop. i missed first time and observed another tesla driver do same. easy walk to "old bat factory" for eats and biobreak.
Tesla technician was in final stages of commissioning the site ~1PM today Thu 23June2022 and indicates site should be live NLT late afternoon and should appear on the in-car supercharger map soon after.
Posted pictures show 2 sign types: charging only and charging available. my guess is charging available means there's no legal prohibition to anyone parking there. as long as all spaces are not filled let it slide ... first-world annoyance. if filled, kindly inform store mgr you'd like to fuel...
Construction progress as of 02JAN2022
Switchgear/Power Distribution cabinets (or whatever the correct terms are...) are now mounted on pads but still wrapped in plastic.
No utility meter yet on the transformer.
No obvious signs of construction or staged gear as of 10DEC2021 in Mirabito paved area or parking area across the road.
Paved area surrounding Mirabito is very congested and in general location is dumpy in my opinion ... don't expect any dijon ketchup.
Fair enough.
Please allow me to re-cast my orginal question as perhaps the Delta M8 inverter is mismatched or miscongiured (vs undersized) to the array of solar roof tiles as presently configured into 3 mppt input strings, that in turn frequently exceed the 12A per string limit and put the...
ok. so you have a system designed by Tesla/Solar City where 3 PV strings output greater than 12A per string persistently for up to 4hrs recently (to be precise 12.5A), and an 8kW inverter that accepts no more than 12A per input string and persitently faults and resets in an oscillatory fashion...
On perfectly clear blue-sky no shadow days our solar roof Delta M8 inverter persistently faults with "Inverter Over Current(HW)" messages in the history log of the M Professional App, the same app the Tesla installer used to comm with the inverter at final inspection.
This leads to the very...
>>sc123 wrote: How are the services in the Stop & Shop? Do they have a sandwich counter, tables to sit and eat, bathrooms?<<
The S&S has bathrooms. I did not see a dining area.
On the morning of 31May2020 all pedestals appeared operational.
Supercharged my 2015 S70D on 04APR and 05APR (68K miles, carbrain typically estimates ~228 miles near full charge vs rated 240).
Even though the station is V3 my best guess based on these 2 charging sessions is older models such as mine will likely experience only marginal or no improved...
Status 26JAN2020:
*transformer, switchgear and power distribution hardware all pad-mounted
*utility meter on transformer is live
*pedestals not lighted
*pedestals did not deliver energy when connected to my S
Nearly all stalls failed to complete a charge on my 2015 Model S70D 28Dec2019. I've used this location for years with good results.
The charging kW would wildly oscillate from high to low rate then ultimately fail after 5-10 min with a "charging equipment failure" indication or a nebulous "car...
Visited 03NOV2019. No change.
Section of I-88 between Oneonta and NYS Thruway remains in terrible condition with exception of a few repaved sections over the summer.
Conduit in place for all 8 pedestals.
Installers are the same folks whom have installed several more superchargers including Binghamton, Ithaca, Victory, Waterloo, etc...
Super nice folks and more than happy to inform us.
Didnt venture a guess on operational date due to the many variables...
fwiw the contractor mentioned in the Sep2018 Oneonta Planning Board minutes was GPD Engineering.
Electric Vehicle Charging : GPD Group
of course that doesnt mean they couldnt sub out portions of the project to other contractors, although my googling for "mcm wireless" entities suggests...
by the way I-88 between Oneonta and Howes Cavern remains in poor condition, there's a few hints that resurfacing may commence for at least parts of that section soon. Unless you stay in passing lane it really stinks.
surveyed proposed Mirabito location for the 3rd time, still zero construction indications including all the rear real estate behind and to the sides of the car wash.
not me, not sure what you mean. in any case based on the present state of the xformers and interconnects early Jan seems exceedingly optimistic, but hope they're correct! as an aside there appears to be a new detached cafe/bakery/shake shack behind the diner, great idea!!
visited again today, no obvious signs of preparation / construction. attached photo is my best guess where they may install the chargers, along the right side.
Checked the 4968 location last Tue, no obvious construction activity at that time, will be checking again in the next few weeks and update this forum accordingly.
1) be careful pulling out of the charging stations, especially if using the face-first charger closest to the xformers. some drivers enter the lot at maximum-plaid and take hard left in front of the chargers.
2) nice seating area near check-out at BigY, not being used for other purposes this...
hmmm... i thought there were tables at the front of the store looking into the parking lot, perhaps just a persistent hallucination i'm having. in any case, really want to support the BigY if possible for their roof-full of PV and EV charger installations.
good point, thus my full survey of the entire location.
in case followers are not aware, there are 2 existing ev chargers at the northeast corner of the building, i'm not sure what standard or capability they have. empty both times i visited the site.
they're possibly within 600' of the...
visited the lee big y location again today.
unfortunately, still no obvious signs of construction. no markings, no pylons, palleted equipment, shipping containers, trenching, etc.
once again, drove around the entire building and parking lot.
