Model Y has anyone received 2023 VIN yet?

I'm in Chicago and they are trying to "stick it to me" with a 2022 vin. I'm pushing the bully back though, holding out for a '23 vin.

Tesla sales rep said MY with 4680 will NOT have longer range

Even if it is the same range the key thing with the 4680 is the million mile battery. Compared to the 2170 batteries being designed to reach 500k miles. Another factor would be the charge rate, 4680 cells are speculated to allow for higher charge rates.

Spotify: Bluetooth vs Tesla built in app

Aha - I did not. Was not even aware this was possible! I’ll try with this on “very high” and compare

Spotify: Bluetooth vs Tesla built in app

I listened to 46&2 by Tool yesterday on 11 through the Spotify app on V10 and it sounded noticeably better than the Bluetooth streaming option (via IPhone 10 for me) So to me it sounds like the V10 app has a sound advantage at this time, I’ll keep monitoring and will continue to provide input.

    Supercharger - Bolingbrook, IL

Same here-I have solar and two power walls and it works just fine. From the context I think he was referring to the return on investment

    Supercharger - Bolingbrook, IL

I just spoke to the foreman - confirmed V3 charging upgrade is being installed! He reported it will be upgraded by the end of the year. He also mentioned no Powerpack / Solar will be installed (it doesn't make sense in the Midwest). Fremont, Hawthorne, Vegas... and Bolingbrook! What a dream!

Two Model 3 Dual Motors compared

My wife gets a lot better wh/mile ratio than me as well on all of our Teslas, I’m a much more aggressive driver The additional road noise you get might be a manufacturing difference. Bjorn Nyland finds the Model 3 road noise to be excessive and he paid someone to noiseproof it for him (he made...

    Supercharger - Santa Rosa, CA (LIVE 20 Nov 2019, 20 V3 stalls)

Awesome news! I hope the make it like Vegas and cover it with a solar canopy - any sign of solar installation? Elon tweeted a couple of years ago about solar / power pack / V3 being the combo of the future

Who Has The Highest Mileage 3?

No extended warranty for me, I would run through the miles quicker than what it’s worth (based on my experience with a 100k mileage model S and an 85k mileage model X)
  19. sammyfan711

Who Has The Highest Mileage 3?

    Supercharger - Rolling Meadows, IL

We have to get these people recorded on sentry mode - I have no idea why there is a anti-Tesla american sentiment but it does exist. We can publicly shame these (potential) offenders in submission with enough videos made public. Those 2 ‘Mericans in Sacramento will soon be exposed and learn...

Bjorn Nyland and I won’t do it again, looks stunning new but after some heavy use it is confirmed worse for wear.

Watching people making poor car choices

If Elon Musk chimed in on this thread under a fake account to hide his identity he might say: “Its basically crazy to buy any other car but a Tesla” I’m surprised no one has mentioned the Robotaxi fleet on this thread

What can a city do to help EV owners?

Light pole charging, the UK has a great model somewhere
  26. sammyfan711

    Unused EV charging stations

I leave public chargers for the apartment dwelling EVs of the world in Chicago, free or otherwise. Charging at home is the greatest thing in the world, plugging in at a 30 amp level 2 charger is not worth the hassle of pulling the adapter out of the trunk.

Beginning to Think that the M3 SR+ is the Best Choice - Here's Why

SR+ is limited to 32 amps, LR charges at 48 amps This is what keeps me thinking LR is my best option (I have 100 amp chargers at my spots to power my legacy cars).

Tesla needs to refresh the Model S, asap.

This makes sense. Did he mention anything about CCS ports on the new models?
  29. sammyfan711

    New service center in Chicago.

Awesome! I was driving on Honore and Elston last night and spotted a stockpile of model 3’s and what I think are some CPO classic model S cars - there had to be 100 plus cars in the parking lot. I wonder if these cars will be relocated to this new service center once it’s ready

Tesla Unbundled "Ludicrous Mode" for S/X; will "Ludicrous" be available on M3 for a cost?

I’m still holding out for Luda on a three, needs air suspension per the 2016 tweet Should be sub 3 seconds, I’m thinking 5k for the air suspension and 10k on top of the performance for Luda
  31. sammyfan711

    Battery will not charge

If the 12v battery dies the model 3 won’t be able to supercharge and will need a level 2 charge to get it going.

    Power steering failure/recovery

This power steering failure just happened to my mid-2016 Model S, I reversed from lunch and the steering wheel felt like it was still in park (though it would slightly turn). I didn't think to reset but just put in back in park and then reversed again and it worked. I thought it was because of...

Multiple HPWC Issues with Model 3
