Sad to say I felt the same way. Maybe I've seen too many Tesla "reveal" events, or maybe some of Elon's enthusiasm has evaporated. The tone of the event was more like "This is the latest version of the Model 3" instead of "Here is OUR NEW MODEL!!"

Thank you for the correction. I took "feature complete" to mean actual full self-driving -- which is what "FSD" literally means -- in production cars. But perhaps Elon meant it in a much more restricted way.

I agree that the great similarity between the TM3 and the TMY means not much market separation. So I expect Model Y sales will heavily cannibalize impact Model 3 sales... once the TMY actually goes on sale, which won't be for (probably) over a year.

I expected that aftermarket replacement wheel covers for the Model 3, which would sacrifice just a tiny bit of increase in drag for much better appearance, would be pretty popular. But so far I haven't seen any report of anyone selling those. And yeah, that's something that Tesla really ought...

Seems like American auto makers these days are calling any car that's not a sedan an SUV. (Ford even said "We're not making any more cars!") Personally I'd call the Model Y a lifted hatchback. But I guess I'm a heretic. ;)
