    Car Seat Crunches Headrest

Thanks for the replies. I redid the car seat installation and gave the anchor strap more slack as to not crunch the headrest. There is minimal crunching now and the car seat is still securely in place. Therefore, having the anchor belt super tight is not required as having the latch anchors...

    Car Seat Crunches Headrest

I'm a fairly new owner to a CPO Model S (Feb 2016 build) and loving every minute of it. This forum has been a great resource to me for all things Tesla. I have a Diono Radian RXT installed in the rear passenger side seat for my 4-year old. It's a one strap anchor and the manual says to put the...

2017 Free Supercharging vs 2018 HW change (potential)

I'm in the same boat as OP. I have three small kids and while we don't travel much now, I could see us doing more in the future. I ended up creating a spreadsheet that lists all the top travel destinations that we will travel to each year and projected that out 8 years. I set it up so that I...

    Western Canada Superchargers

With the supercharger page update, it looks like they have precise location of the urban Calgary supercharger. Based on the map, it looks like 11ave and 1st street SE. This location would make sense and there are a bunch of parking lots on that block. Sunterra is close to there but other than...

    Canadian Stores and Service Centers

I popped into the Calgary Service Center because I haven't been inside since it's opening. I'm a prospective Model X owner and I chatted with a few reps. Really nice service center. I asked about tire storage, which I previously asked about in this thread. My understanding is that most other...

    Exchange Rate

USD-CAD exchange rate approaching 0.80 (currently at 0.7944). At what point does Tesla start adjusting prices in the design studio? I remember when the exchange rate was going the other way, there was no stickiness on Tesla's part as prices kept going up and up. Right now a fully spec'd X100D 6...

Model X 2nd row now folds FLAT! (July 1st 2017 update)

I'm in the same boat. With this latest update to the design studio, the MX I have spec'd out (maxed out 100D) is now $3K CAD more expensive with no substantial improvements to that configuration (I guess minor 0-60 time improvements, but still). Bummer to see these minor updates to other configs...

    Canadian Stores and Service Centers

I've been following the Calgary Service Center progress here and elsewhere. It's coming along nicely. I'm a prospective Model X owner in Calgary and I have a question about Canadian Service Centers. Will they store winter/summer tires for a fee? I don't have storage for tires at home and use...

    Western Canada Superchargers

This is a great point and another reason why this is an ideal location for a SC. 115km from this SC to Drumheller, which going and forth (230km) is doable for any model. Also, gives you plenty cushion to drive around the badlands and see the area.

    Western Canada Superchargers

This SC location makes a lot of sense. It's great for N/S traffic and it's not too bad for E/W traffic. Most people going through the city E/W opt to take Stoney around the north side to avoid the traffic and lights of 16th ave. Also, there's sit down restaurants right there (BPs, Milestones)...

    Canadian Stores and Service Centers

So, it looks like this location, which is 6719 Fairmount Dr SE. Pretty good location to get in and out of. The building looks a bit old, though. If they get possession in January, I would doubt a two month turn around. I'm thinking May/June at the earliest. Now, to find the Calgary SC location...

Jason Kenney Takes Shot at NDP and Tesla

Jason Kenney on Twitter Just a massive face palm. This tweet doesn't even make sense. Of course a new SC on a Wednesday morning isn't busy. He obviously doesn't understanding EV charging infrastructure. Also, get your truck out of that stall.

    Western Canada Superchargers

I spy a Whitefish (or Kalispell) SC. Great news there. Very interesting they are putting one in Sicamous. Seems a bit overkill but that route will be busy when M3 is out so it's probably a good idea. Glad to see Seattle area is getting a bunch. It will make drives down there a lot easier. If...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

This would fit a lot of the criteria - close to the Highway 1/QE2 intersection and a spot with lots of restaurants. Tons of restaurants right around there and Sunridge Mall is there too. It would make sense but maybe they just meant a HPWC and not a Supercharger. Has Carls Jr set up HPWC in the...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

If the Service Centre includes a supercharger, then you'd think they would be smart to get a location as close to the 16th Ave/Deerfoot intersection (Highway 1 and Highway 2) as possible. But I think that's a bit too far away from the store for their liking so I would guess more around the...

    Western Canada Superchargers

Did they mention where the Calgary Service Centre and supercharger will be located? Really curious about that. Also, it's great news that it will open this year.

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

Just to close the loop on my initial post. Panel Upgrade Experts came over and gave me an estimate. Paul was really great and knowledgeable, and also a super nice guy. He quoted me $1,100 for a NEMA 14-50 and said he wouldn't recommend a 100amp line because of my load calculation. 24/7 Electric...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

Thanks. I should have asked for more details about these 'Tesla requirements'. He mentioned something about requiring copper versus aluminium (I think) but that's all the details I got. As recommended, I've scheduled an estimate with Panel Upgrade Experts on Monday so I'm interested to hear what...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

Hey Tesla AB Crew, This is my first post but I've been a long time lurker of TMC. I'm interested in getting a Model X for my family in the next couple years. I'm having my garage renovated in August so I thought I'd drop in a NEMA 14-50 for my future EV and future proofing in general. I...
