Still on V10 and LTE connectivity still works.

Just an FYI thread as I much prefer V10 over the V11 UI downgrade; probably just jinxed myself but the car's connectivity seems unchanged and is working as it always did.. I'll report back on this thread if it changes You may not have to go V11 to keep your connectivity!

    Suspect part

I have a pending service visit for what started out as a suspected seat belt latch but has since turned into RWK ASY,M3,LOW VOLTAGE CONTROLLER,RIGHT (1100340-90-G) I have a very general idea of what it is but was hoping to get some feedback from folks who know more thanks

PSA front fender liners collect garbage

Someone in another forum posted this Tesla's Free All-Weather Kit Gaps May Hold Dirt Close To Car Body but I didn't even have mud flaps on (was about to install) and live in pretty mild Calif. climate Beware what the liners collect Note the nice entry gap right at the seam between body and...

Looking for one 19" OEM Model 3 rim

Title says it - I have curb rash on 1 rim so if I can (quickly) find a single 19 OEM rim w/o damage for a decent price, near San Jose, I'd get it and keep the other as spare. Asking a lot but figure it can't hurt..

Model 3 emergency avoidance gets A+ from me

If you ever need a reminder that you need to pay attention behind the wheel, here's one for ya ... too bad the video is so low res :( Route 17 in Santa Cruz mountains can be an entertaining or miserable, or some combination ... depending on weather and traffic. But it's always a place to pay...

5GHz WiFi connects but doesn't work?

The wireless router in the house, probably like 90% of them out there, has both 2.4ghz and 5GHz antennas. For a while there, I had disabled WiFi to stop updates (see other threads for reasons) but in the last week or so I've had the car connected to house WiFi. Or so I thought... the UI...

    Recent screen "crash"

Since getting 2019.8.3, I've had the main screen 'crash' (go black) while driving on 2 occasions within 1 week. I perhaps didn't wait long enough for it to restart on it's own so in both cases, I ended up doing the 2 button reset and it eventually rebooted and was fine the rest of that trip...

    MPP Front Rotors

I didn't know where to post this so it gets its own thread; finally installed the BBK (front rotors) on my previously Stealth Performance 3 (I wanted to wait till after Tesla corrected a minor alignment adjustment cause they were gonna do it for free) Not having a lift is less than fun but not...

    The Great Key fob unboxing

Ok that's more grand than it is but there is a hint of Apple-ness in the packaging They give you 2 batteries, it takes 1 I don't see anyway to hook any lanyard on it but that's ok for now The process for pairing is unexpected but easy: - go to your car - go to tesla screen to add key...

    Flat tire day

Last night coming home the car got all frantic about low tire pressure. Get home, can't find anything but tire is low so I put air in... this am, low again. Can't be fixed but Tesla roadside was out super quick and fixed me up. Not the best way to spend $377 but can't beat the lack of down...

    Model Detail Page

I'm wondering if this is normal or another mistake regarding my Performance Model 3 - it still shows Pay for Use supercharging even after I received the email on Aug 6. It also doesn't mention Performance anywhere, or AWD for that matter, but since this is all I've ever seen I can't claim it's...

    AWD front motor sounds

I realize the audience to respond to this post is currently small - just wondering if anyone has noticed the different sounds the front motor makes. I believe the front has a medium high frequency 'beep' that is regular at mild throttle on the highway and then just becomes a similarly pitched...

Model 3 Aero wheel center kit

I got this kit anticipating keeping the 18" rims on our new Model 3 but we went a different way - ended up swapping 19's onto the car. Never even opened this (ordered it early cause folks said delivery was taking a long time, I didn't experience that though) Here's the Tesla store link Model 3...

Delivery at Freemont this am (Aug 3)

We picked up our new Model 3 Performance at 11:30am - I should say the appointment was 11:30 but we were delayed perhaps 20mins. The place was a little crazy. New cars up and down the front parking area, people milling about and outside tables with umbrellas - one was at the parking lot...

Red Model 3 for sale 'cause Performance big brother is coming

Well it was quicker than we thought - our 2nd Model 3 (performance) is ready and we're picking it up in Fremont on August 3 (that's the plan now anyway, fingers crossed) Our current RWD has, of today, 6490 miles - it shouldn't get much more in the coming week ... I've attached the window...

2018 Multi Coat Red Model 3 - what is it worth?

We have Model 3 with about 6 k miles, typical first run options of long range battery, premium package. We had the chip guard (3m stuff) applied to the hood, front bumper, mirrors, couple other spots. With the 'flood gates' open, we configured our second M3 w/awd and performance. Now the...

    2008 Roadster for sale, sadly

I have a previous post, with pictures and details, dated Jan 31 2018 - have a look. Because it seems there are lots of Roadsters (suddenly?) for sale, I'll likely have to accept less than I hoped.. even aside from the unseasonable cold few weeks, it's not being driven enough. Reasonable...

    2008 Roadster

I'm considering selling my shiny black Roadster - here's a few things about it.. (Roadster experts will know some of the tech details) First it is not a garage queen, the miles are higher (84k at the moment) and it was being used as a daily driver until the Model 3 showed up. If that scares...

UI wish list # 9999.... really liking the car!

Having driven a whole 20 miles in the 3, I find I agree with every comment that says it would be nice to have the map nav instructions on the left side of the map vs right - ideally user selectable. Other than the mirrors and steering wheel adjustment requires tapping the screen, eventually...

    Brake bleeding, etc

This weekend I did a small bit of car maintenance (because it didn't rain for once!) - among other things, I bled the brakes because I didn't know for sure when they were last done. The color wasn't too bad, not fresh clean/clear but I've seen much much worse. Rears required taking the...

    Saggy chins

Not sure if this is a technical post per-see but.. I've seen Roadsters (1.5) with saggy chins and I didn't really know what was going on or broken. I found out this weekend when my car started scrapping it's nose when exiting our driveway. My guess is the part shown in the pictures is soft...

I'm the happy owner (2nd I believe) of a 2008 1.5 Roadster and really like it but... some history. My dad was an engineer in the merchant marines so I got plenty of 2nd hand and impromptu teaching about cars and engines and more or less keeping them running when I was a kid. Brakes...

    PEM 185

Still a Roadster novice here - I've seen some PEM covers have 185 (mine), some have Sport (seems obvious). What other covers are they and what do they mean exactly? I know 2.0 and 2.5 cars are different - is there documentation on the specifics on that part? Just curious thanks

Newbie found something cool or odd

So I told my Roadster it should start charging about 12am each night (our cheaper rates are midnight to 6 or something) and it's all good. USB vs iPod connector

Someone in forums.tesla.com posted that they disassembled the center console enough to gain access to a USB port that the iPod 30pin connector is plugged into - does anyone know if the 1.5 has a similar plug? My 30pin does not seem to work and while I don't really care about that too much, I...

    Replacing keys

I have a question about replacement keys; previous owner lost one of the keys so he bought 2 new ones and the receiver (I believe, all 3 parts still in the plastic as I've not yet opened them) It would appear that you would swap the existing receiver box with the new one and be on your way?
