    Supercharger - National Harbor, MD

Made my way there for the first time today. Army, Navy, and Air Force made use of the chargers today. Was nice and peaceful. Number 1A/1B is out of service. Excellent people watching location.

    Supercharger - Newark, DE

Everyone be careful in general at that charger. There has been some illegal trading the adjacent parking lot for about a year or more. Good to see the police cracking down on it.

Police heat map issue is no longer an issue for me. It seems to work just fine now.

    Supercharger - North East, MD

Charged there twice yesterday on a long haul trip. Averaged 320 miles per hour connected. Very quiet and relaxing stop in comparison to the frantic Newark rest stop and no shady people doing odd extra legal or illegal trades in the adjacent parking lot unlike Newark. Jackpot!

Me too. It would appear that Waze locked down their data flow (just a guess). Another website I use as a Waze back up is also not displaying police, hazards, etc. as of yesterday morning.

    New DC Metro Supercharger Plans-2018

I know a perfect place under I-395 on 8th St SE--easy access to the highways (I-295, I-395 et al.), close by shops, restaurants, and the USMC barracks. Would be awesome.

Fairfax County builds searchable crime-data mapping app -- GCN There's a lot of property crime on both sides of the river. The west side data is not available, but the written police blotters in Virginia may lead one to conclude that it's a good idea to be armed and ready to defend in my...

    Homelink intermittent

LED bulbs in garage (or neighbor's home) could be the issue. Certain manufacturer bulbs infer with the signal. Also put a larger antenna on your garage door opener drive unit. Worked for me.

Well mine stopped malfunctioning after I turned off the beta police trap thingy. Just as well since almost the entire Dulles Toll Road was correctly marked as one giant police trap, which it is.

I have the same issues but perhaps it started a couple of days prior to my firmware updates. Hope this comment is useful.

    Insurance rates on the raise

Comparisons of insurance rates among us are not advisable. Each region with a given state has different rates. Each state has different rates. Miami-Dade for example has a rate 3x greater than northern VA for min coverage (comp & collision) mainly because, according to USAA and GEICO, 75...

Suggestion--Is it possible to make the hot zone more translucent and with an on/off toggle? It's a good feature. Thank you. My main routes apparently are almost one long continuous police trap. Truly they are. This new feature, however, will be excellent for long-haul trips.

How to stop these things from happening?

Best way is to say hi to the truck owner, shake hands, and smile. That will fu@# with their minds so much it will never happen again. It also humanizes their image of a Tesla owner. #eattherich :)

Auto Drafting Mode to Save Energy

Cyclist? I am. Been in some rough crashes. For cars, not worth the risk above 30 mph. Also serves no purpose to have vehicles in a tactical bumper lock at highway speed unless some of us do personal security details for world leaders. Vehicles communicating with each other would still not...

Auto Drafting Mode to Save Energy

Drafting is tailgating. NASCAR tactics do not belong on the street. Love breaking rules (and track time) but not looking to kill anyone with a 5,000-lb vehicle. For a robot to successfully do it safely, there will need to be knowledge of the other vehicle weights, brake component wear of...
  22. A

Auto Drafting Mode to Save Energy

Drafting is actually tailgating and it's one of the top three most dangerous moves a driver can make. Different vehicles have different braking distances. Sometimes the same make and model will have different braking distances based on OEM part life cycle, after-market part life cycle, vehicle...

    Holster mounting options?

    Holster mounting options?

Message likely lost in all the hurt feelings, but I do not recommend placing your weapon in a holster attached to a vehicle. Too easy to forget when you get out of the vehicle, no positive control, and I doubt most of you will ever practice drawing your weapon and firing from a vehicle. When...

    Holster mounting options?

True, but at least I didn't write a book and post it. :0) OMG, no way in hell I'm reading some of these pedantic posts or clicking on some corporate tool media owned by 15 billionaires (source: Forbes, hey it's that one too? lol), who say we should all be disarmed while they have armed...
  26. A

    Holster mounting options?

Blaming the tool would be analogous to blaming Tesla or the car itself as an evil weapon of death. Sorry but the fact is "cars" (actually careless drivers with no skill, who got a license as a privilege not a right--Constitutional or basic human right) kill more people than "guns." That aside...

List of Homelink Garage Door Openers That Work

Another remedy I undertook was to increase the length of the garage opener antenna by a factor of 15. Then I put the LED bulbs back. Solid performance now. No problems.

    WANTED: Engine Noise Simulator

Yeah--breaking up his hard to do, but sometimes a clean break is the only way forward. :) Albeit I loved my 991 PDCC et al., there's nothing about the ICE paradigm I'm wedded to any longer. It's time for me (perhaps not everyone) to move on.

Is anybody creeped out passing a truck on AP?

No creepiness but usually come off AP when approaching a rig or group of rigs because of a consistent effort to minimize time spent near large 18-wheelers with or without my AP1 engaged. Large rigs in my area engage in considerable unsafe driving tactics typically associated with NASCAR, like...

  35. A

    Version 17.4.14

Just got it as well; was a quick download and install. Hope one of the bug fixes was the surround sound. Every four to 7 days it would shut off on it's own. Of course it never interrupted the massive fun I've had on a few back roads with some nice twists and turns. #freedom #weeeeee :)

    Notice of Non-renewal of Insurance

Has your garage door attacked your car?

    Tired of the $100,000 Car

Actually, after a few months of ownership, I realized that the comparison is pointless because Tesla is outside of the ICE paradigm. Perhaps that realization is a difficult one. Some modes of transportation don't lend themselves well to comparison--the horse, the motorcycle, propellor...
