Has anyone tried installing the prior generation Homelink Module 1005371-00-B in a Model 3? That part number is going for $50 on eBay and would be an awesome deal if it functioned... The Tesla Parts Catalog shows both versions on the Model X and S catalogs, but not on the Model 3 catalog.

My home WiFi stats show that my Model X had a very large (2.4 GB) download over the last day which was the day after 2018.14.2 download/installation (223 MB). Anyone have thoughts on what just staged on my Model X? I’ve never had this large of a single day download.

There's probably more margin on a new Tesla Motors vehicle as opposed to a single Powerwall 2... i.e. Giving away $5.5k of Tesla Energy might be a net loss, but $5.5k of Model S / X still drives a positive P&L impact for that quarter...

I believe that impact may vary utility from utility (with a mix of state law as well). For instance, I'd imagine most utility tariff agreement would preclude charging from grid and discharging into grid as a means to net metering based arbitrage.
