The real question is: do you really think that the new autopilot software can be much better than the current one without hardware adds ? I highly doubt about it because it's already freaking good at the moment.

I only drove Teslas with pano roofs and didn't notice any noise issues with it. There may be a difference with/without but you don't even notice it if you never drove one without.

I don't know when you're going to take delivery, but feel free to ask them to give you a loaner for a day or two. It's free and you can test everything you need to before you take delivery. That's what I did last month, just before confirming my reservation.

It has to be almost complete dark for the car to auto activate the high beams. I had them activated on my loaner and worked perfectly. If it detects any source of light it will shut automatically.
