    Supercharger - Bismarck, ND

Sitting here watching inactivity, had 3 MDU vans here and now 1. No work occurring. Lights aren’t on. I’ll try to drive by b4 heading back to NE.

    Supercharger - Sioux City, IA

I guess back to checking for permits. I would like to see a series of Superchargers to get me to ND. I would really prefer it to be on US 83 or US 183 but anything would be better than nothing. I have an original 2012 model S and even Councils bluffs to Sioux Falls is a push in ideal...

hopefully all the chargers will be operational in ND by the 4th fo July holiday.

I drove by thurs and no activity from previous pics. 4 slots were iced, lol.

    Nebraska Tesla Club?

these numbers are probably less than actual ev's out there. I haven't used a charge point charger in 3 years. But informative, nonetheless.

    Supercharger - Muskegon MI

Looks like they are getting close to operational, this pic from my daughter.

it would be nice to get ND connected

    Supercharger - Sioux Falls, SD

Iced is a reference to being blocked for use by an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle .

    Supercharger - Sioux Falls, SD

Here is an update of construction. It is located on the west side of store near entrance. The location on the map shows it in NE corner, that is not correct. It is just south of the main entrance on Marion.

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Oil people and farmers do tend to drive their big trucks. Nonetheless, I do believe there are a fair number of people that would drive a Model 3. I agree that the economical thing to do is supercharge the east side of the state. But in my humble opinion, this would be stupid and really a...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

according to a report i recently read, the wealth is actually located in the western and central portions. This is mainly due to the coal, oil and agricultural industries. But your statement maybe true because the population density is substantially greater in the east. I had looked at...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I do agree that they maybe trying to build all in a single period of time, just as they did in NE. But in places as ND and other Northern states and provinces where cold weather is an issue about 6 months a year, the lack of infrastructure will directly correlate with lack of sales or vice...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I was just sent a 'snip-it' of a news story on Inforum showing a gathering of Electric vehicles in Fargo. Not sure when it aired, but hopefully it will lead to some greater awareness about the future of transportation. Thanks to the guy from Dickinson for making the grueling trip to help raise...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

That is usually the case, but there are several off the beaten path too. the Lincoln NE is a couple of miles off the interstate. I would guess it be showing up sooner or later. I have had luck finding several construction sites by looking in areas that fit the basic profile of a...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I have been searching too, could it be that it might be located in a smaller suburb such as West Fargo or Morehead. I will try a few of these next week. Just a thought.

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I agree with Viking26. Tesla doesn't worry to much about artificially imposed deadlines. I would bet that ND gets at least 3 or 4 superchargers before the year end. If you give me odds, I'd go with July. They seem to have been ramping up Supercharger installation in the midwest and as they...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Well I see that Little Rock has gained a permit for a supercharger. ND is going to be the last state with chargers. Hopefully this happens in 2017.

    Supercharger - Grand Island, NE

Supercharger was down last eve. Please be aware. If counting on this to complete your trip call ahead. Alternative options are few. A tremendous thank you to a fellow tesla owner in the area for allowing me to charge long enough to limp to Omaha.

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

hoping North Dakota and South Dakota will get some more superchargers too. I drive to Linton and Bismarck ND several times a year and currently not enough practical charging options are available for driving my Tesla. I29 and I94 need several. Hopefully once the Mode 3 gets rolled out, the...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I saw that article last eve too. It left me wondering if they are going to set up level two chargers or faster ones. Level 2 chargers are relatively useless for long distance travel, unless you have a lot of time to charge. They are much better for adding a few miles while running errands. I...

    Supercharger - Lincoln, NE

I think the Lincoln location is in a satisfactory place. It is not as convenient as some sites to the interstate, but it does have amenities nearby that are easily accessible. Like all placements of SC's, we could debate the site locations. It will be a few years before the area is saturated...

    Bolt bests Tesla

My first impression was 'Ferris Bueller's day off scene where the car is on blocks in reverse, trying to rewind the extra mileage on it.

    Bolt bests Tesla

very interesting, there must be a hidden part of the story that has yet to be revealed.

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I would guess Omaha has been scrapped as a supercharger site, but maybe a service center (actual building) is still in the works. But I do believe Fargo will get their long awaited and deserved supercharger this spring. Certainly has been a lot of chatter and with Clearwater up it's only...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

From the looks at the proposed maps supplied by tesla, they are getting more aggressive in putting up SC's. Guessing, things will resume full throttle when weather warms up a bit. They knocked out 4 chargers here in NE in less than 2 months and all four where constructed simultaneously. It...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

lightfoot3b: i grew up south of Bismarck so I know how miserable your winters are. We finally got our superchargers in NE in last 2 weeks. So I can relate to making some very uncomfortable trips in a cold car and driving incredibly conservative. I have passed my 4 yr anniversary of owning my...

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

In winter weather conditions, i assume i will use .5 kwh per mile. So if clearwater is 185 miles, i wouldnt be comfortable with less than 95 kwh of useable charge. There are numerous methods of reducing actual useage, but as you know, there are fews options if you run short. Recent trip in...

    Supercharger - Grand Island, NE

Charged at Lincoln and currently at GI now. Lincoln was operational but did not charge as fast as GI. Best I had at Lincoln was 160 mi/hr rate and in GI had up to 260 mi/hr. Ambient temp was 1 in Lincoln and 11 in GI.

North Dakota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I think you would have been very disappointed in what you would have seen. Regardless of one's stance on oil, the protests were disgraceful. A few with legitimate concerns were overrun by many with their own agendas, tainting the overall effectiveness of it. What is ironic is: 1. the fact...

    Supercharger - Grand Island, NE

Another update. Not much changing here at site. Some progress made but still 4-6 weeks off if lucky.
  32. M

    Supercharger - Lincoln, NE

Winter will prob slow down progress, but at least they in the construction phase, so we know someday soon we can travel with less hassle than before.
  33. M

    Supercharger - Grand Island, NE

no dramatic change. Hopefully they get rolling on it. I, too, drove by on my way home to omaha. This will be very useful to help bridge the gap in winter driving conditions.

Where would you like for us to take this discussion? If you feel this particular forum listing is wrong, please direct us to an appropriate one. I am guessing I'm not alone, but this topic does concern me in the middle of the country. Tesla has the ability do what so ever they want with...

    Supercharger - Lincoln, NE

I see it as a positive. But doubtful of it playing out any time soon. The biggest problem with their plan is because many of their current cars can only run about 100 miles per charge they will need thousands to be of any value. Along with the vast numbers of locations, they will need to...

    Supercharger - Gothenburg, NE

what is the suspected reason? preventing from local abuse? promote charging at home? opening up charging slots for long distance travel? There has been numerous discussions on other sites regarding this and some feel spited by this and some are for this, if it is truly being done intentionally...

The Grand Island supercharger construction location is found. not far off interstate near a major truck stop.

    Supercharger - Grand Island, NE

guessing it has to do with at least 2 of the three. Elevation change to ogallala from omaha is 2300 ft. prevailing winds usually 10-20 is normal. In addition to planning for the model 3. also may be due to the fact that they have the crews out here might as well finish NE off for awhile...

    Supercharger - Clearwater, MN

I wouldn't count on it being done. We have several in NE that started about same time. My best guess would be optimistically Christmas. I am not an expert, but watching a few of these now thru construction phase makes me believe that they have some work yet, not to mention working what now...

    Supercharger - Gothenburg, NE

I am experiencing all most the same feelings as i had waiting for my Model S to arrive in 2012. The opening of these Superchargers will enable relative mobility without range anxiety and/ or significantly longer travel times. Just as in 2012, I was hoping for this day for 3 plus years and now...
