Multiple M3Ps dropping out of Track Mode for no reason

A few of us were on our first track day of the new year yesterday. 5 x Model 3 Performances and at least 4 of them experienced something we've only ever had once or twice in the 4 years we've been taking them on track. First off we kept seeing the lane departure warning message coming on every...

Anyone running Yoko AD09s can give advice?

From the reviews I've seen, the AD09 is looking like a good choice for track days, Autocross and sprint-type events. Up to now here in the UK, the go-to tyre has been the AR-1, but it seems the AD09 may have some advantages. So the question is, has anyone here tried both and can give an opinion...

Bluetooth TPMS pressure reset no longer possible?

I've found a few threads about this but no definitive answer. It doesn't seem possible to 'retrain' the car to lower tyre pressures with the BT sensors. The TPMS reset button is gone now. I like to run lower tyre pressures than the 42psi recommended (I'm not getting into a debate about whether...

IBKR SWIFT payment to me delayed several days - anything I can do?

I'm relatively new too IBKR so I'm hoping someone more experienced can help. On March 28 I made a withdrawal from my IBKR account for a substanctial amount of money (6 figures). The SWIFT payment to my bank still hasn't completed (6 working days and counting). All other recent withdrawals I've...

    8.5" Uberturbines in winter package?

The Tesla shop lists this package and the spec says the Uberturbines are 20 x 8.5". I haven't seen Uberturbines in anything other than 20 x 9". Is this a typo? https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-3-20_-uberturbine-wheel-and-winter-tire-package

    Model Y Parcel Shelf

In the UK we now have a few RHD MYs Tesla are using as demonstrators. They don't have a rear parcel shelf or the lips to take one but Tesla told me today they thought some RHD cars were being delivered in HK with the parcel shelf fitted. Can anyone confirm this?

EVs in the Park 2021 this Saturday

There's a free EV event happening this Saturday (17th July) in the Coventry War Memorial Park, CV3 6PT. The weather's looking good so it might be interesting to pop along and wander around seeing all sorts of EVs parked up, including no doubt quite a few Teslas. I'll be there with my...

Arabesque study quoted by Forbes - Hit piece?

Anyone know about this report and can comment on it's accuracy? Arabesque are an asset management company based in London. https://www.forbes.com/sites/timabansal/2021/05/13/how-green-is-tesla-really/?sh=5e71a6e51576

Acceleration now better at low SoC? [2019 model 3P]

A couple of nights ago I was coming back home from a 1 hour trip and my 2019 M3P seemed much more responsive when I got to under 20%. So just before home I stopped and timed a 0-60mph run and it was just under 4.1 secs (no rollout). I was on 12% SoC at that point! This seems much, much better...

Tires size on Model 3 Performance Uberturbines

What tyres are fitted to the new Uberturbine 20x9 wheels? The parts catalog suggests they are still 235/35 20. Is this correct?

Analysis software for Track Mode V2

This has been asked in a thread and a guy from Racelogic said it would be very difficult to do with their software, but I haven't seen any other discussion about it. Has anyone found software which works with the .CSV file generated by track mode and allows you to graph speed, accel etc. data...

    TRACK MODE V2 DISCUSSION THREAD

I couldn't see a master thread about TM2 so thought it a good idea to start one as we're bound to have observations, tips and bug reports once we start using it. I'll start - when the video and telemetry files are created in the TeslaTrackMode folder, the video files appear to have a UTC...

What's the funniest voice command goof you've seen?

I haven't used voice commands much as when I first got the car it didn't seem to be that good at understanding me. It could be my British accent I suppose. Today, I thought I'd give it another try as I needed to call a company I was on my way to visit. I tried about 5 times but to no avail. I...

Has anyone added negative camber without upgrading springs & dampers?

It's becoming clear to me after a few track days in the P3D that it's effectively front end limited. There are several solutions to that of course, but one cost effective way to get more front grip would be to get more of the tyre in contact with the road so has anyone added adjustable front...

Replacing rear brake pads on a P+

Is the only way to retract the piston fully in the rear caliper to take off the parking brake motor and wind it back in? These OE calipers haven't been designed with track days/racing in mind...

For those of you swapping wheels regularly...

Are you having any issues with TPMS? My standard 20" wheels/tyres are working fine. When I put on some aftermarket 19" rims (9.5 x 19) with 265/35 19 tyres and Huf TPMS sensors, I got the warning message about having changed wheels, so I selected '19" Sport wheels' and 'learn TPMS' in the...

Anyone using the EVTV OBDII adapter with Torque/Scan my Tesla?

I've connected the EVTV adapter today and am using a OBDLink MX BT adapter with it. I've installed Torque and Scan my Tesla and both seem to be able to communicate OK with the MX but neither app is receiving any data from my Model 3. The OBD and Host lights on the MX are lighting up when first...

    Teslalog/Teslafi logging rate?

I'm wondering if there's a way to log data from the Model 3 using one of these services (or another way?) in order to analyse energy usage, regen, SoC etc. with a fast sample rate such as 5Hz or faster? Is anyone doing this currently?

Has anyone managed to get 4 spare wheels into a Model 3?

Thinking ahead to track days and what options I'll have when it comes to running a second set of tyres just for use on track. Is it possible to get a spare set of wheels in the back of a Model 3 or maybe one on the passenger seat and 3 in the back? These will probably be 19 x 9.5 rims with 35...

Would you want to drive your Tesla on track?

After seeing the result of the Tesla Corsa event in the U.S. where they got 50 Model 3s along to drive on track, it's got me wondering if there will be demand for this in the UK? I expect it's going to be the Model 3 owners here as well, as it obviously lends itself better to track driving...

    Home charging options

I've started to look around for home charging options in preparation for when I get my M3... So, there's Tesla, Andersen, Rolec, Pod-Point and probably others I haven't found yet. I'm interested to hear about the pros/cons of each (other than cost and what they look like).

Is there anything left to speculate about?

So the 3 is almost here, but the amount of speculation and rumour-mongering seems to be at all all time high! Is there anything left to have a heated debate about? Has anyone covered auto-dimming on the rear view mirror? How about locking wheel nuts Y/N? What pressure do we expect the tyres to...

    Range at sustained high speeds

I've had a look through a few threads on range. There isn't much data I can find regarding what happens to range on journeys where one can sustain high speeds (above 80mph). Does anyone have any practical experience or a way to calculate what happens when you do sustained speeds of 90-100mph?
