HWPC inside shed - options for routing cable outside?

Thanks! Looks like it's using a similar product to what I posted before - but good to see a step-by-step example shown, esp to get an idea of the sizing since there are a few options for these "RV Hatch" products...

HWPC inside shed - options for routing cable outside?

Answering my own question ... found this on Amazon which seems like it would work well: https://www.amazon.com/RV-Designer-B113-Electrical-Replaceable/dp/B00YJGS5VW

HWPC inside shed - options for routing cable outside?

Hi all- I'm looking at potentially installing an HPWC at a seasonal cottage. It will not get used very often. There's a shed where I would bring power out, and I'd like to install the HPWC inside the shed to protect it from the elements. I'm looking for a good option to cut a hole in the...

Review: Magnetic Power 2 XVIDA Qi Charger - The perfect Model 3 mount?

Can any of the members who are using the XVIDA suction cup mounting option attached to the back of the main display panel for a while now comment on how well the suction cup bond has held up? Any issues with it releasing, esp. with hot / cold temp extremes? I'm always wary of suction cup...

Okay. Got the email to schedule delivery WOOHOO! How long now for VIN?

You can't drive a VIN, but you also can't complete a third party loan for many banks without a VIN, so it's not a "don't worry" situation for everyone....

Self-referring with new P3D referral program (order already placed)

The benefit of adding the referral is not on the refer-ee side (i.e. the free supercharging), but rather on the refer-er side (i.e. a free HPWC that I could put to good use).

Self-referring with new P3D referral program (order already placed)

Any orders (up until recently) would have been web orders, no sales person involved. I actually pinged my OA (who sold us our last car) at the time of my order to see if he could place the order (so he would get credit for it), and he said at that time (in June) they they had no way to place...

Self-referring with new P3D referral program (order already placed)

No other referrals in the current program ... but I wouldn't consider getting an HPWC to be "a bit of a waste" ...

Self-referring with new P3D referral program (order already placed)

Has anyone figured out if there is a way to apply a (self-)referral code to an existing P3D order? This would be for the case of a current owner who has a P3D on order (and the order was placed before the recent change to add P3Ds to the referral program...). Thanks!

    Tesla Waze alternative for Model3

Maybe it's worse where you are, but real time traffic around Boston has been fine for me - as far as picking the best route and accurately estimating the arrival time. I will concede that the features are lacking - no waypoints, no option to say "I want to arrive with X% charge" or "make sure I...

    Tesla Waze alternative for Model3

I guess by "ads" I really meant the icons on the map for dunkin donuts, gas stations, etc. which seem to always be there polluting my map view as opposed to popup ads. There doesn't seem to be a way to disable that stuff (I'd be happy to pay them for an ad-free option, but there doesn't seem to...

    Tesla Waze alternative for Model3

Tesla Waze had an issue with Google Maps (Google started charging a lot for Maps API access apparently), but they've since switched to a different underlying mapping platform (OpenStreets I think?). It's been a bit flaky lately, but will load eventually - so I don't think it's going away...

    Tesla Waze alternative for Model3

Hi all- I'm soon going to be trading in my X (lease end) for a Model 3. I've been using Tesla Waze (via browser) on my lower split-screen along with the nav on the top for a while - and I like having both set of information (nav for driving, and waze for "stuff on the road" that I should be...

Snagged a P90D Inventory car for $700/mnth on the new 24 month lease

I always find that when a refresh (or newer style) comes out often times initially I think "gee, I like the old one better". Then later once more and more of the new style are out there my brain switches to "gee, those older ones look dated". My money is on an S / X refresh in the next couple...

White P3D - order progressing, vin soon!?

Is there any significance to yellow instead of grey? I hadn't paid attention to the colors before (dunno if they were grey, yellow, purple, or something else), but looking now my uncompleted task boxes all have yellow circles with 3 dots inside them in on the right near the "expand" button ...

Snagged a P90D Inventory car for $700/mnth on the new 24 month lease

This thread brings back memories! I got one of the few (only?) P90DL Xs that had the 2016Q3 heavily discounted lease terms ... and now I’m hoping my lease end lines up nicely with my P3D that’s on order to replace it .... Hoping that they put a bunch of these cars in service as much needed...

I have Aug-Oct delivery window for a P3D (also a current owner) ... so you probably won't be #1. And I doubt I would be either (Oct 2016 orig reservation date, ordered P3D on June 27 - wasn't able to order AWD/P before they opened it up to all reservation holders).

Warranty mileage for an Inventory car

Warranty mileage for an Inventory car

Interesting ... in this case I do happen to know it was in use by an executive, but it was definitely sold as "New" on the paperwork. Since it was a lease to us we didn't get the $7500 federal tax credit, but my understanding is that was effectively rolled into the lease calculations, so I...

Warranty mileage for an Inventory car

This car was in use as a company car, I would assume registered as such, so I'm guessing this is what they meant (i.e. warranty clock started ticking when the car got registered as a company car).

Warranty mileage for an Inventory car

So I think the referenced docs essentially say that in this case the warranty ends when the odometer is at 50000 miles ... (this particular car was used as a company car before being sold as inventory). Ah well .... thanks all.

Warranty mileage for an Inventory car

I couldn't find any definitive answers searching on here ... so hopefully someone has direct experience with this. If you buy a New inventory car with, say, 5000 miles at delivery does the base warranty run out when the odometer reads 50,000 miles or 55,000 miles? I looked through my delivery...

Precondition battery iOS app update out

Anyone installed TireRack Flow One F2 or F3 wheel?

In our case it would be hard to say as we went from 21" wheels + performance tires to the 20" wheels with Hakka R2 snow tires .... so I suspect most of the difference would be due to the different tire type....

    Standalone electric meter + charger

    Standalone electric meter + charger

Hi forum. I'm looking for some options for a charger installation at a seasonal cottage. I currently have a 50A plug installed at the panel, but the location is less than ideal. I'd like to install a charger at a location away from the panel if possible at a reasonable cost. I had an...

Anyone installed TireRack Flow One F2 or F3 wheel?

Post Pictures of HPWC Installations (Residential and Commercial)

I like having the vac right there with a long hose so I can reach any spot in the car with it still mounted on the wall. That particular vac model isn't great (I think most of the big wet/dry vac brands have similar models that might be better quality), but I use it pretty rarely and it gets...

Post Pictures of HPWC Installations (Residential and Commercial)

It can be run in the same conduit as long as the wire is rated for (I believe) 600V, but my electrician chose to run it separately. In my case both feeds were run to the subpanel so the comm wire would have had to go through the panel to the other HPWC. If you ran both HPWCs off the same...

Got our second HPWC installed today. Both are fed 100A circuits from a 125A subpanel I had installed with the first HPWC about a year ago, and they are configured in a master/slave setup. Either car will pull 72A individually, or when both are plugged in they drop back to 40A each. I saw a...

Supercharger - Boston, MA (Boylston Street)

There are plenty of other places in the Pru to spend $10 to get a validation stamp. Not the cheapest option, but in a prime, very expensive, urban location it's gonna be hard to find a spot for something like this for free. I think as Teslas get more and more ubiquitous it's likely you'll see...

Supercharger - Boston, MA (Boylston Street)

The Boston Tesla store is in the Prudential building (where the garage is), so that's probably the main reason they chose that spot, especially for an early rollout of this new charger.
