will IRA retirement accounts be able to invest in the new private Tesla? It doesn't look like IRA accounts can currently invest in SpaceX unless they invest through GOOG or a couple Fidelity funds that have small posiitons. I'm guessing the answer is no but would appreciate any feedback...

Sure, but expect a bunch of other bottlenecks and possible supplier issues all over the place. This will not be a smooth ramp up to 5,000-10,000/week.

Is it me or does Jonas just seem out to lunch on most of his comments lately??? I seem to have a better idea of what's going on with the company and their plans for the next year than he does but he has access to Tesla to ask questions and tour the factory.

To get to 350K Model 3's per year we need 7000 per week.

I was just being conservative and came up with a much higher # than theTMC rumor.

That's 2880 cars/week assuming a 5 day work week and 8 hours per day. The rumor from TMC was 2000 cars per week.

He was also talking beyond 13 years the last time.

I wonder if TSLA would ever consider selling it's self-driving technology for a per car fee once they've perfected it. Say out of the 70+ million cars sold every year 10 million have TSLA technology for $1-2K royalty per car. That's $10-20 billion right to the bottom line! :)

I'm predicting $50-70 Billion in revenues by 2020 and if that happens then several $100 million by 2026 is very doable. And that's just cars and energy storage. No clue about solar... Now once their factories are close to 100% capacity and running efficiently and the overhead is minimal and...

Yeah sorry, I meant that people think the rampup will need more cash than it generates. I'm interpreting what he is saying as the opposite of that.

I realize the M3 will be a cash generator. I'm talking about the M3 cash flow funding it's own production rampup.
