Just got it and I can't believe how bad v12 is. From the reports I was expecting this to be a noticeable improvement, but it's almost unusable due to it just continually slowing down for no reason and it refuses to speed up again unless you press the accelerator. It also slams on the breaks...

Spoke to a delivery person that confirmed this was built on 10/14, so seems like they haven't cut over to 2022 model years yet. She also looked up a couple Model Ys that just came out of the factory and they were also still 2021 model year. Tentatively scheduled pickup for 11/3.

It had been something like Oct 17-Nov 7 for a while, then narrowed to 10/27-11/2 and then VIN. They emailed to say pay for your car, so I knew to check for a VIN but I’ll only pay after I inspect it.

Received VIN! MF451xxx. Was kind of hoping for it to be labeled a 2022, but as long as the manufacture date is the last couple weeks that will be fine. I’ve been ready since the initial March EDD.

Both Greensboro and Colfax are both listed as temporarily unavailable. Any idea if that is an error or how long that might be for?

I mostly agree and wish there was a 20“ option, but really the sidewall is only around 0.2“ less or about 5% different (3.7 to 3.5) so probably not too much different than the prior 21‘s.

Updated sig, but ordered 1/27 once refresh was announced.

I realize that this will probably go away again soon, but my order went from blank for the last couple weeks to Jun 26-30, picking up at the Savannah, GA location.

There isn't a bar running through the middle any more, its a single piece large glass roof, like the Y.

Picked up yesterday in Charlotte, quality is good though there were a few things that were a bit dirty which you’d like to think they would take care of.

Tesla should be able to tell you the date, it is also on a sticker inside the door with the month/year.

I was just assigned a vin 30xxx which had me mildly concerned, but had them check and it was just manufactured 8/11/2020 so can't be entirely sure based on vin number, but they can confirm manufacture date and the car itself will list the month of manufacture on it.

I ordered in March and it's never showed an estimated delivery date. I've reached out to a few different groups at Tesla and they say the order is fine and it could be assigned a VIN any day. Of course, they have now been saying that for a few months...

Update on this, after two mobile service visits, they claimed that it needed a new HVAC Case and that needed to go to the service center which is over 3 hours away. I finally made that appointment and it turned out to be that same inlet that they couldn't fix on the two prior visits and they...

Chill mode does follow the driver, that was handy when I was teaching my daughter to drive so she was automatically in chill mode.

Two more service visits and they gave up. They say I need to take it to a service center that is 3 hours away. Doesn’t sound like anyone knows what’s going on and I have no confidence they could even fix it at this point.

I have this issue too, mobile service came and replaced the "actuator - inlet" which they expected to fix the issue, but it didn't make any difference.

Same issue here, they sent a repair estimate that said they want to replace the Actuator-Inlet for $170 but it doesn't sound like that will actually fully resolve the issue so I'm not sure why I'd want to go ahead with that.

Finally got a referral which has me excited though my kids are too old for the mini S, but I'll take anything I can get. I have the solar roof on order so in theory the token would be nice, but I think it's going to be a long time until that comes to SC anyway. I'd love a new set of wheels...

So, when taking a road trip just stand by your car for 30-45 minutes for every few hours you drive. That makes perfect sense, hard to believe that everyone hasn't given up on their ICE and gone electric to get all this quality time standing in a parking lot.

You certainly have an idea, but there have been plenty of times that it finishes 10 or more minutes earlier or later than the original estimate. So now if you want to grab something to eat you also have to be constantly checking your phone on charge status so that you can jump up in the middle...

I really don't understand why you would only get 5 minutes grace period to get to your car. I've charged on road trips a bunch of times and always try to time those stops with a meal. Most superchargers (in the southeast at least) aren't in very convient areas so you usually need to walk 5-15...

I don't believe any of my music is in MP3 (or most people using iPhones/ Apple ecosystem I would think). Doesn't that mean that it is decoding AAC and then being re-encoded? Even if it was MP3, it would need to be at a relatively modest bit rate to pass though unmodified, wouldn't it?

The sound quality isn't THAT important to me, but since I'm going to have the phone plugged in anyway, why recompress the audio. At this point, all of my new music is from Apple Music so I can't load that to a USB stick, plus I often listen to their playlists so I don't even have most of those...

My 60D finished production today. It was listed in production from 9/6 to 9/14, so that seems on the longer side compared to other recent reports. After being marked in transit, my delivery estimate went from Late Sep-Oct to Sep 21-28. That's pretty soon and hard to imagine it can get cross...

My 60D was listed as in production yesterday. Ordered 8/20 and confirmed 8/26. It will probably take a while to make its way to SC though.
