Tesla will be very similar to a Bolt from a charging at home perspective. With Tesla, you get to use the SuperCharging network which makes long trips much more doable.

I did finally hear from Tesla sales rep that the restriction was tied to the ITC. They said they don't know how long the restriction on charging the Powerwalls from the grid (if we have solar / claimed solar tax credit) will be in place, or if it will be lifted.
Where did you find that policy? I've been asking Tesla, and this is the closest I've gotten to an answer:

Looks like the only time of use net metering plan for Dominion in VA is a demand time of use, so shaving the peaks would be the optimal approach to using the PW. The trick would be figuring out the set point. Hopefully Tesla adds the feature to Power Walls soon. Also an oddity here is a split...
I would hope it would depend on the storm watch scenario. If it was a hurricane, the system could easily wait until off peak to charge up, and afternoon Thunderstorm might not be able to wait. I'd hope they figure out a little bit more nuance to the feature.

Doesn’t look like it’s still there. PlugShare is weird about SuperChargers. You have to basically email them to get one set up. Last time I tried when National Harbor moved, I couldn’t add the right plug type.

I have the same GPS reception problem. Picked up a Garmin GLO, and it helps but still have issues in the middle of the cabin. Works great next to the drivers side window.
The one thing I really like about the charge port on the drivers side is the visual cue to unplug it. My Prius Plugin is on the passenger side, and Probably 15% of the time I jump in and forget to unplug. Also walking around the car every time to plug and unplug seems not so convenient...
