Location is actually closer to 25 Russell St in Hadley, site of a future Pride gas station. The 445 Russell St is the existing Pride station on the other end of town. Pin is close to correct though.
VIN 147xxx, bought from inventory late Sep 2016, Watertown SC confirms it can be uncorked. I live 100 miles away so I ask if this (and parking break recall repair) can be done with Tesla Mobile Service. This is their response:
The parts are available for the parking brake recall. Your vehicle...
Not exactly accurate - after five referrals you get access to this special loot; after five more referrals you get 10% off, and then an additional 2% off for each further referral = additional 90% off from 45 referrals. So it takes 55 referrals, not 50, to get the Roadster for free.
That's interesting and quite the coincidence! The invite for the event corresponding to that appointment had "$10,000" included in its description, so there's a chance that this is why it appeared on the screen. I'd consider this a "case closed". Thanks!
Yesterday I had an appointment in my calendar for an event 100 miles away from my home, and the roundtrip there had me crossing 10,000 miles in the odometer. Next to the appointment in the calendar was a button with a phone icon and "10,000" next to it, so I wasn't sure what that meant or if...
Further followup: the board of assessors acted on their own and gave me an abatement for the difference. So I do echo the recommendation to talk to your city/town's board. FYI I gave them a copy of the NADA value and the delivery configuration document.
Bump/followup: I called the assessor in Northampton and she said that she does not set the valuation prices, and that the RMV does that, but she would not give me a name or contact info to follow up. Does anyone want to share their previous experiences pursuing changes in valuation? I would very...
I finally received the dreaded excise tax bill for the car I bought back in September (2016 MS 75D Solid White with Autopilot, no other options), and as I understand the bill the car has a valuation of $88,000 (bill says $79,200 valuation with excise rate $25/$1000 for 4/12 months this year...

I have made a reservation for a tour of the Tesla plant in Fremont for myself + 3 for tomorrow, Wednesday 11/9 at 10am. My companions' plans fell through and I thought I would make the spots open to TMC folks. If you're interested in joining, please reply here or send me a PM. First come first...
I have made a reservation for a tour of the Tesla plant for myself + 3 on Wednesday 11/9 at 10am (the day after the presidential election). My companions' plans fell through and I thought I would make the spots open to TMC folks. Note that there is a possibility that I may have to cancel since...
I should also check in. Took delivery of a Model S 75D with Autopilot Sep. 29, very close to 1000 miles already. Not that many Teslas in Western Mass., apparently?
Took delivery Thursday in Dedham MA, with some minor disappointments: my owner advisor had said that a CHAdeMO adapter and iPhone dock would be available for purchase at delivery, but neither one was; and I did not get any case/holder for the key fobs. So I had to order online from their...
Though I would wrap up this thread - I jumped on the end-of-quarter sale and got a 75D (delivered yesterday), which also mitigates a bit my concerns about range. Thanks again to everyone for your advice!
I also took the plunge on a Model S 75D with autopilot and $8200 discount, taking delivery on Thursday. The main difference with the 60D I was thinking about ordering is the color (wanted silver, this one is white, but I like white too). Perhaps we should have EOQ delivery meetups :-)
Thanks for the pointers guys. My thinking at this point is that the one useful component of the sub-zero weather package is the steering wheel warmer, as I will seldom have back seat passengers. Also it seems that 30% would mean charging twice a week some weeks, which I may grudgingly agree...
Certainly the way to address this would be to charge more often, but I work at a large public university and the charger is not close to my building, so this would be a stop on the way home. Once a week seems manageable, more often might become cumbersome. It's all about *how* much the range...
Hello everyone - I have a fairly specific question and haven't been able to find posts on this particular situation. I am thinking of buying a Tesla S 60D and am aware that in the winter range will be reduced due to battery efficiency and heating expense. I have also read that the batteries must...
