So tempted to upgrade my two year old S when HW3 comes out.

It is certain that v9 does not include any meaningful AP improvements for AP1 cars? If so, I guess we will have the best version of AP we are ever going to have in our cars at this point.

Does anyone know if 2018.10.4 improved AP1's capabilities too? Or is it just AP2?

I tried to favorite this post but couldn't because I have HW1 and that feature is coming in the 9.0 update.

I think HW2 will get epic updates in the future based on the potential of the HW on the car.

According to @elonmusk, 76 days ago, he said via twitter that 8.1 should be out "next week". That's a pretty big miss and we've not heard a peep about 8.1.

HW2 just got a firmware update for autosteer on local roads. The differentiation is happening already folks.....

These cars are like big iPhones. Skip every other generation. I'm waiting for AP3.

Model S is about halfway through the typical model lifecycle for a car before a complete redesign happens. Maybe a little more than halfway by now. Anyway, I expect a completely redesigned Model S in 3 years or so. By then, the car (still beautiful) will look a bit dated next to other luxury...

I'm having issues with the app connecting to my car. It just keeps spinning. Tried logging out and in and same issue.

App just released! Just updated. No new features but it looks nicer.

Basically, what was promised by end of December is now mid-March. I wouldn't bet on seeing Model 3 before mid to end of 2018.

I have a 52 mile round trip commute every day in LA traffic. I look forward to my commute now, and I feel a lot less stressed mentally and physically thanks to AutoPilot.

If you read the notice carefully, it's implying that airbags on all Model S cars will eventually be replaced, unless you have a late 2016 or newer car.

I think it used to be that the entire fleet was updated within 2 weeks of initial release. I guess with more cars and variants, as well as the recent rebooting issues, we will be waiting a while longer.

False alarm. My Tesla updated last night but it's still a rev of 7.1. The waiting continues....

I picked up my 75D on September 24th, and it didn't have 8.0 at that point. I've been waiting for the firmware to be pushed out but so far no luck. Anyone else still waiting?

My 7 Plus with the official Apple leather case will not fit the dock with the thinner guides installed. I would like to use the guides if possible.....
