    Table 314.16(A) of NEC 3 (6-gauge) wires requires a minimum box size of 4" x 4".x 1.5" (I had 6" x 8" x 4") Table 210.24 of NEC 50 amp branch circuit requires 6 gauge copper wire and 50 amp receptacles which is what I installed.
