Windows Phone Link Blocking Tesla Key

I recently picked up a Microsoft Surface Pro to replace my iPad Pro and so far am really loving it. I also decided to try out Phone Link for the first time which lets you connect an iPhone to a Windows computer and see all your notifications from your phone and send/receive calls and texts on...

Thanks. I scheduled a service visit (mobile) and will see what they say. I was missing a center cap cover as well at delivery (unintentional I believe) and they sent that to me in the mail no problem.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Hey everyone. Been a while. I took delivery of my Plaid in September and then promptly broke my leg so as of today I have a total of 457 miles on the car. Haven't had a chance to do much other than drive it back and forth to work a few times. Anyway, I came here today to see if others ever...

    Lease Trade-In Question

I don't believe you can do that if your lease didn't have an end of lease buyout option like all the Model 3s from the past few years. I was trying to trade in a leased Model 3 on my new Model S Plaid. Tesla's trade-in offer was crap, so I held out to go to a third party dealer but that was a...

    Lease Trade-In Question

Carvana is great. We sold them my wife's 7 year old minivan with 70,000 miles on it for $19,000. That was $4,500 more than the dealer offered on trade-in. They made it super easy too. Won't work with a Tesla lease though. If you own it outright it will, but not if you leased it from Tesla...

Has anyone sold their leases Model 3 to a dealer? [as of 10/28/21 not possible any longer]

I have been to Carvana, Vroom, CarMax, AutoNation and Drivetime and all either state in their policies they don't buy any leased vehicles or was told specifically that they would not buy a leased Tesla. I even had the written buyout packet in hand from Tesla Finance with the payoff amount...

    Lease Trade-In Question

I'm still sitting on my Model 3 lease. Took delivery of my new S back on 9/15. Finally got Tesla to confirm I could sell it to a dealer, but that took about 2 weeks of emailing and calling them so not sure how the actual sale process will work. I broke my leg in the interim which makes it...

Has anyone sold their leases Model 3 to a dealer? [as of 10/28/21 not possible any longer]

This is really going to screw me as I have already purchased my new Model S Plaid. I don't need the Model 3 any longer, but if I can't sell it to a dealer I may just have to keep it. I wonder if I can still try swapalease.com or something like that.

Has anyone sold their leases Model 3 to a dealer? [as of 10/28/21 not possible any longer]

Has anyone sold a leased Tesla to a dealer in the last week or so? I’m being told by Carvana and AutoNation that Tesla is no longer permitting sales to third party dealers even though it is still an option on their website.

Tesla Model 3 Lease Buyout - My experience (Canada)

I am trying to do something similar in US but am being told that as of 9/22 Tesla is no longer permitting sales of leased cars to dealers. It is really going to screw me as I already bought a new car and was going to get rid of my Model 3.

Phone Mount for Model S Refresh

Dragy times for Plaid and LR

If you want videos just hit up YouTube and check out the Dragtimes and the Tesla Plaid Channel. Dragtimes does a good job comparing to high end supercars and hypercars like the Remac, McLaren, Ferrari and others. The Tesla Plaid Channel is a bunch of pure drag racing against whoever happens to...

    Lock Out Rear Screen Controls?

Just got my Model S Plaid the other day. It is currently at the detail shop getting PPF, ceramic and tent installed. Question I have is can I lock out the rear controls for music, etc.? My kids will not leave it alone and will fight each other over it as well. Has to be a way to lock it out...

Interesting read, but they just used the car's onboard energy consumption statistics and only drove 10 miles each. I mean Tesla wouldn't put them on the car if they didn't actually improve aerodynamics given how ugly they are, but actually measuring that improvement with any accuracy cannot be...

There are compromises. You can buy aftermarket wheels. You can remove the cover and get some of the benefit but not all of the benefit. I wonder if there is even more benefit to going to 17" or 18" wheels? I used to have 17" wheels on my 2001 Mustang and they handled great. That car was...

That would be interesting if true. Not sure how one Tesla owner could prove that out though. People get the 21" wheels because the 19" wheels are hideous, and you lose [some of] the range benefits if you remove the hideous wheel covers. I would actually prefer 19" wheels for the more comfortable ride if for no other reason, but man they are fugly.

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

I don't keep cars long enough for that to be relevant, and it is naïve to think that the current hardware will actually support FSD when it is maybe ready for actual use 10 years from now. I paid for FSD back in 2016 when Elon said it would start rolling out imminently. That was 5 years ago...

What's your predicted loyalty to Tesla whenever replacing current car?

I am constantly looking at other manufacturers besides Tesla to see if there is anything out there I might want more, but so far I haven't seen it. The Porsche Taycan is cool looking, but slow and the software is crap I understand. I think that is likely the case with most other EVs. Even...

Yes, that's right. I've always done 90% but the most range any of my cars has ever had up until now was just over 300 miles, so at 90% I typically started each day with around 265 - 275 miles of rated range which the way I drive is more like 180 - 200 miles of actual range.
