Just for reference my 2014 MS p85d MCU1 AP1 died while still under extended service agreement. Tesla came out and replaced it with an MCU2 last week.

There is a service bulletin for this. Could be mounts or a cv axle. If you have air suspension raise it up and if it gets worse that tends to be the axle. I have had my axles replace 3 times now for the same issue.

This is a simple fix. Just pull the panels out of the frunk and spray the joints with wd40 or pb blaster on the steering shaft with the ujoints. As your spray have someone turn the wheel. Wait about 30 mins and spray again. Let it sit over night and by morning it will be smooth as silk. ;)

Thanks I noticed this when it was posted there. That site is great, we just need more people to contribute. Now if someone knows how to get their hands on away to change the firmware for BMS that would be great for those playing with different battery packs and BMS boards.

You probably need to match the pack config number to the battery and the original BMS. You will need root access to do it.

The firmware is already on the car. When you do a deploy as described it will check to see what you have and install what you need or are configured for. Although I think waiting for a software update may do the same thing...its a good question and someone with more experience with this may...

My biggest issue here in Alaska has been the charge port freezes open or shut, occasionally the charger end itself will actually freeze in the port. Another issue is the air suspension will fail to adjust height. Otherwise been good. -4 degrees F today!
