My X doesn't seems to recognise speed limits stated by road signs. I think the current version may only get its speed limits base on the GPS position and a database rather than acquiring speed limits from road signs. .

And honestly, for its original purpose, leaving a pet or a kid in the car for days would be dead anyway regardless of cabin overheat protection. So that is exactly why I see little point in keeping it running 24/7...

How scary is that? Cabin overheat protection is meant for occupants (I.e. Babies) left in the cabin accidentally primarily...and if you have left them there for days then bad news...sorry you got a bigger problem than that... It's not for the cabin interior...all other cars overheat to that...

I installed it vertically originally, and EHT failed to register it once while all other went ok. Then I tried installing it horizontally as per the autotoll recommendation, been having 100% success rate so far in the last 20 trips on Tsing Ma/WHC/CHT/EHC. Definitely the way to go! Out of sight...

GPS requires no data. Google Maps does though. Maybe a wifi dongle with a China SIM card would be the easiest solution?

I got inspired from the nose cone instllation for older Model S and installed the tag in the gap between the frunk and the bumper, and I can confirm that it works really well (3 out of 3 tolls just now).

Picked up for 10 days, they have yet to contact me to fix all the defects that we located during pickup

ditto on the FWD. the right FWD on my X squeaks every time i open it all the way up too.

But tucking it somewhere out of sight is a much more tempting option :)

Yes watch out the other cars parked on the lower side of the car (if any)...that door can make a real dent on the other car.

I got a much more serious potential security issue too this morning Hong Kong Time (GMT 04MAR2017 0200-0400). Could be related. I have notified Tesla tech support...will give them some time to respond to the issue before I let the details out in the wild.

I think time is on your side, I inspected it for 40mins+ over and over. Don't feel rushed whatsoever. Remember to climb up and check the FWD top exterior seals too, I found mine not flush. No rain test yet but will find out when summer arrives if the SC haven't fix it by then.

Same here, not delivered in a impeccable condition, but yes I have absolute no complains on the driving side. A real pleasure.

Not so for mine. Maybe I should have documented well all the finger prints stains and loose lint!
