Is the growth of number of members correlating the growth of Teslas sales?

I assume that most of the oldest TMC members are early adaptor and frequently using forums. The growth of number of members in the early days was correlating with the Tesla sales. What happens when the masses start purchasing Teslas. Will the growth of the forum continue acordingly, or will it...

Help Identifying Low Speed "clunk/rattle" Occuring When Steering Wheel Turned Mostly to Left/Right

@houstonian, NHTSA is looking into this issue, and there is a Class Action lawsuit on this issue. I had the same issue in 2017 (2016 Model S 90D), but got a workaround. Tesla Tech and I managed to reproduce it by setting the air-suspension to the highest level and make the maneuver as you...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

I read about this Class Action lawsuit accusing Tesla of ignoring and covering up suspension defects. It seems covering up is well known to Tesla:( It's not related to my issue, but it's related to my model of Tesla. When thinking closer to it, I had an issue with the suspensions in 2017, that...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

I'm not a mechanics, but my theory is that the screw/bolt hole is stripped, and that's way the fix just lasted for a short time (1 day - 1 week) and then got looser. It took Tesla 10 months from when I reported and booked a service appointment to Tesla tried huck-bom replacement. In the meantime...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

Thanks @beatle. That means that Tesla have decided if this issue in the bulletin is safety related or not. Tesla must have made that decision based on something. I can see the following possibilities: Tesla has made a thorough investigation that correctly concludes that the issue is not safety...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

The Repair Bulletin https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10168253-9999.pdf states: On some Model S and Model X front seats, the forward inboard Huck BOM fastener and pivot bushing (nearest to the center console) used on the front lift links may develop an interactive clearance condition...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

Thanks for replying. I think it's best that the Tesla owner (and previous owner) respond to the survey, but your information is still useful. Which model year was the loaner?

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

My Tesla is a Model S90D 2016 Facelift. Yes, you are able to rock it back and forth. The seat tipping forward while breaking. First time I noted it was in November 2018 during phantom breaking. Then it kept getting worse until Tesla made a serious attempt to fix it in September 2019, after two...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

To exemplify my concern, I have made two drawings showing how a loose dirver’s seat may cause damages to the driver and passenger. Impact when the car is rolling over There is a worse case I didn't draw, but you imagine your selves how it would be if a loose seat and the driver is moving...

Loose driver's seat – considering class action

Loose driver's seat seem to be a well-known problem, when googling. In my case I have had this problem over two years. Tesla has tried to fix my front seat several times. Last attempt the seat was only holding for one day after four hours drive, then it was back to what has been the norm, loose...

Carport with integrated Tesla solar roof, Powerwall and charger?

I bumped this old thread of mine. Just saw Electrify America to deploy 30 off-grid, solar EV chargers in rural California. I guess EA could electrify several hot places:D Happy to see someone had resources and made things happend:)

Carport with integrated Tesla solar roof, Powerwall and charger?

@Tam, I don´t know much of the regulations in California, but in Norway they are quite liberal. In Norway you could set up a building < 50 sqm on your property without applying permission. You only needs to inform. Regarding cost: You will have higher installation cost if you install on-roof...

Carport with integrated Tesla solar roof, Powerwall and charger?

Thanks, for the comments. @ewoodrick, I think the cost will be way below @$40k as you can see from my estimates (~$21k - ~$28k) You right, it´s quite of an investment. I think incentives will be given in some cases to offload the grid, or to push EVs. E.G. in Norway EV incentives are so good...

Carport with integrated Tesla solar roof, Powerwall and charger?

I would like to see Tesla offer a carport with integrated solar roof, Powerwall and charger, all- in-one. What do you think? I have made a drawing to illustrate my thoughts.
