Stopped by today at lunch. Site is almost done, looks like all it needs is striping of parking spaces and commissioning. The transformer looks to be on site and installed. Confirmed 20 chargers. 19 along the wall of Planet Fitness and one by the transformers.

Drove by today - the site is done except for restriping the parking spaces and the elusive transformers. This site has two. Since there are two banks of Tesla transformers at each end of the line of spaces.

Drove by during my lunch hour today… I only counted 18 charging pedestals. I don’t think they wrapped around the back of the building.

Because he is (was?) a board of directors member at the time the permit was filed. I believe is no longer on the board. No idea if it has started. I tried to look up the permit a few weeks ago using the address and nothing came up.

Went and visited the site today. Definitely under construction. See pictures. I only counted 40 stands and/or concrete pedestals. The site might be 40 or 48, I wasn’t quite able to do a full count of the inverter cabinets. Also, please move the marker to the following lat/long 36.062266...

It kills me that the aerial photo in that app is like ~20 years old. At 2:30 PM, Town Square, Convention Center, Cambridge, and the brand new one on S Fort Apache were full. The ones closest to this one are Convention Center and Cambridge. So maybe this is needed more than I thought.

Yeah, when I was charging at the airport one a few weeks ago, most of the other vehicles around were Kaptyn or had Uber/Lyft stickers on them.

Four new ones are across the aisle from the existing 12 ones originally built. (First picture is the original 12, second is the new four).

Welp, according to the app, this site now has 16 stalls up from 12 as noted on supercharge.info. Time for an update. I don’t know when these came online but assuming it was recently, we’re now up to 64 recently added stalls in Vegas.

That guy has been busy flipping switches lately. That is 60 supercharger stalls turned on in the last week or so across three sites.

Got a quick charge there this afternoon.

It looks like it goes down to the first floor... which is employee parking I think. Not going there, don't need to raise the ire of their security team.

Happy Halloween. The site looks "finished" in that the cabinets all seem to be in place, almost all of the construction stuff is gone (just a few bags of Quickcrete remain). All the conduit on the floor below looks to be completed, and the feeder conduit from the main power source comes up to...

A friend of mine drove by today - the big white cabinets are placed on those I-Beams in the photo above. Looks like they are doing the wiring inside the cabinets and (presumably) wire them up to the individual charging units you plug your car into.

I agree the parking lot is a bit small. But it is right down the road from Tropicali. That place has great food!

It appears to be a flat rate, no on-peak/off-peak pricing at this location. At least not yet...

Hi @Chuq, I apologize. I should have provided the lat/long in the OP. The SC will be in the currently vacant lot at 36.087, -115.209, north of Russell Rd along Decatur. I've double-checked with a source I have access to, and that is the location they are going to build the hotel and this SC.

Also the current Vegas charging issue is probably everybody getting those emails from NVE saying their next bill is going to be $500 and they’re all about using up those free supercharger miles.

They haven’t updated their permit info since April or May it seems. It looks like a manual task of uploading an excel spreadsheet to their website.

Agreed these are going to get ICE'd. The only place to put them in the surface lot that would have not been ICE'd would have been the NE corner near Pavilion Center and Charleston. The furthest walk from the parking lot to the casino.

Yes, lots of chargers in Vegas in the next 6 months, I wonder if the new Durango station will also have an SC. That doesn't open until the end of the year, though.

Hmm. While I'm happy there will be an SC close to where I live, as a local, that is about the last place I would have wanted it to go - in a casino parking garage.

One of the aspects of not building out those secondary highways is low utilization. However, if Tesla ships their V4 or whatever SC station with the CCS adapter, that would increase utilization over a V3 station because Tesla is probably the only fast L3 charging option on those routes, so...

The last time I was there, the parking lot on the north side by the EA station was completely full. Wonder how often the EA stations get ICE'd. There are also some L2 stations in that parking lot. Used them a couple of times with my Chevy Volt prior to my M3.
