I paid for FSD 6 years ago. They should install MCU2 in the cars with MCU1 where FSD was paid upfront. Software limit it to MCU1 features if need be. But FSD should be made available per Elon’s tweet.

I just saw Elon’s tweet. I did the early adoption move with FSD when I bought my late 2016 S with it included. However, my understanding is that MCU1 is incompatible with the FSD Beta. I would think they should resolve that without cost for those customers given Elon’s latest comments.

Thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated. MCU1 has been working well so I haven’t (yet) invested in MCU2. I suppose I could wait it out but who knows when Tesla will deliver the FSD I paid for in 2016. You would think they’d upgrade those of us waiting for so long to MCU2.

I agree. The stock audio is terrible. I can barely make out what people are saying on phone calls as well so it’s becoming a bigger problem for me. I thought I had heard that they may have updated the audio in the latest models. You may want to check that out.
