We got almost 4 years on our S85 12v battery in Florida, I was super surprised. I would only buy a used Tesla from an owner or from Tesla, I like to know how they took care of it, car dealers really have little to no knowledge of charging the Tesla, basically I do not trust them.

I had the same issue months ago on my 2015 P85D, it was the on board charger, they changed it to the new 2nd generation, 1 day to replace.

IMO you are in for years of issues due to water working on the electronics, bearings, and so much more. I personally would NEVER buy a water damaged car, in fact I am surprised they can sell they for anything other than parts.

Get a new Tesla in 2020, comparing a 2012 to a 2020 is just not close to the same. The Tesla will always be great but Elon works on constant improvement and 2012 will be like comparing a smart phone from 2012 to 2020, sort of.

I have seen this also, I think the AC system needs to be on and ac turned on when you shut the car down. My thought is the system will turn on at 105 but if the ac was off it will not turn it on. I do not use auto for the ac. If you are in auto mode, it may be fine.
