I have received an e-mail from a Grant Davis (who identified himself as a Tesla home delivery specialist), saying that my Model 3 has been built. I will be taking home delivery, since the closest Oregon delivery point is 350 miles away. I cannot go to a (closer) California delivery center...

I have been told that a wrap looks good longer than paint and doesn't need so much waxing, etc. If that's not true, I probably would just go with premium paint and skip the wrap.

I need to decide whether to order basic black or multi-coat paint, and whether to wrap with vinyl. I assume there is no reason to upgrade the paint if I'm covering it, unless maybe so that I can have a super paint job if I ever take the wrap off. Is vinyl wrap worth it? Will it look good for...

(And of course, the other issue is that if I do reject the car here in Lakeview, they will have to charge it overnight before they can drive it back. Or do they haul it here on a carrier?)

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it has been many years since I had a flat (I have had to inflate tires with slow leaks). I wasn't aware of plug kits, but that sounds like a good solution.

Still in the queue for a M3, I am concerned at the prospect of driving in eastern Oregon without a spare tire. Are flat tires such a rare occurrence that nobody needs to worry? If I am within cell-phone range, is Tesla's roadside service reasonable, and do they carry spares? If my phone dies...
