Well it will be for proximity, but not for the actual EAP driving per se. Those proximity beams you see in yellow and red flashing on the screen during auto pilot are the ultrasonic sensors. I would not expect any "issues" with any coating on these. Usual masking tape should be a straightforward...

AP is all camera's and none of them are in the body work, riskiest would be the one on the turn signals but even those will probably be taped by the guys who will spray it. The sensors on the bumpers are all only for parking and auto parking.

Not quite The LR M3 with AP is around 60k OTD, the S75 in question was around 80k OTD. So 80% of the MS for around 75-80% of the cost.

Oh gosh thats a deal breaker for sure, I find the S75 on 19's loud enough as it is and its supposed to be one of the quieter S variants (no dual motor whine, no 21s, no glass roof/sunroof)

Running efficiency might be better on the 3 , but charging efficiency is better on the S? So they essentially cancel each other out?

I am quite curious on your next steps as I am in the exact same situation and like the size, driveability and range of the 3. I would love to have the AWD, but the math is already pretty bad without adding another 5k to the mix. Do keep us posted on the numbers if you dont mind

Indeed, it does seem to be more specific to the communication methods used by Metromile although I am not sure why that would "disable" the Park assist as such. Metromile has suggested trying a replacement device just to make sure. I will post updates once I get a new device and test it out

No its a much bigger problem because it disables the proximity sensors in the front and back and not just auto-park. If it was just auto-park I wouldnt give a darn but the sensors are really critical for me to park in my tight garage.

If you dont close all the doors properly the CC system keeps running. If you leave smart pre-conditioning on, it does it once in a while If you have the new "leave AC on" mode turned on, then yes it will keep running (but I think that resets itself everytime)

I got it today on the 75 RWD, its fine, car is a tad smoother to accelerate even if you punch it, I guess for normal commute with passengers, it might be nice to have a more fluid response which is not as "punchy".
