With a firm ride you feel bumps, potholes and road irregularities more than you would with a softer, more compliant ride. Even my wife’s new Lexus ES300h hybrid rides softer than my Model S and is more comfortable on bad roads. Of course my S is still more fun to drive.

I will assume it's too firm for me then. But it does look nice, especially in that color.

Why would they do that? Why not tack on the minimal amount that it costs since most will use it. That's really shortsighted and will require all Y owners who want it to visit a SC. That's more backlogs at the SC.

I believe it has a wider wheelbase. I'd think that alone would affect the ride.

From my perspective a stiffer ride than even the 3 would be a definite negative.

Some have found the ride of the M3 a bit harsh or stiff. How is the ride on the Y? Is it smoother/softer than the 3? If anyone has any experience with an S, X or 3, perhaps you can make some meaningful comparisons.

Put in perspective, approximately 19,000 have died just in the U.S. this season from the flu alone. At times, during a more severe flu season, 30,000 and more fatalities occur.

My wife’s car is a 2019 ES300h. It gets a NY clean pass and about 40-45mpg all around. I wish my S was as quiet, rattle-free and well made as her car. But it’s not as fun to drive. :)
