    Battery Day expectations

What do you expect the MOST from the upcoming battery day? I personally would love to hear some news on future battery upgrade options for existing Tesla owners. I hate to think that the only upgrade option is to buy a new car.

    Vehicle to Infrastructure support

Will Tesla support something like this? I would’ve liked to have it, for sure. Audi expands Traffic Light Information - now includes speed recommendations to minimize stops - Audi Newsroom Tesla is obviously in a very good position to leverage this, both in manual and auto-pilot modes.

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

The more I see how slow Tesla is at delivering new FSD features, the more I think it will never happen. Assuming current HW3.0 and sensor suite. I mean - Ok, stop signs. Great. In 5 years development timeline? How long it will be before Tesla releases unprotected left turns on intersections...

Is HV battery’s breathers replacement covered under warranty?

As many reported on the forum, I asked Tesla to fix the ‘bang’ sound while supercharging. I have received a suggested repair’s estimate of $53.51. The fix is to replace 2 breathers. Will Tesla still cover this under warranty, or does it mean that Tesla will only fix it if I pay for the repair...

The most accurate way to measure battery degradation

So does anyone know what is the best way to measure, in the most precise and practically doable way, the battery degradation? Tesla guarantees 70% of battery capacity retention under warranty, but how are we supposed to measure that? I always thought "Remaining miles" are pretty good, but it...

Displayed range has increased without charging

So I've charged my Model 3 Mid Range @ Supercharger to 80%, and this resulted in a 197.39 range (all data as per TeslaFi). I have driven a very short distance immediately after (2 minutes, 0.88 rated miles used), which resulted, as expected, in a remaining displayed range of 196.51. And then car...

    Trunk closing

Is anyone bothered by how trunk closing works? I mean, you have to push it quite hard to close, AND if you fail to push it hard enough, it will open all the way up. Looks like bad mechanical design for me. For comparison, on my other car (BMW), it is well-calibrated - much easier to close AND...

Impossibility of L5 using any level of new hardware

Still digesting the info from the Autonomy Day. Tesla explained how they train their cars. Well, I think unless Tesla changes how they teach their neural nets, with any future computer power, IMHO that level of L5 autonomy is impossible. Why? Well, think about it. The way Tesla teach cars to...

Both permits (building and electrical) are issued, as of ‘Apr 15, 2019’, for the Stonelake location!

    System restart while driving

I never experienced this before in my total of 3,170 miles of driving. While driving, the music playback suddenly stopped, and then in a few seconds the screen went completely black. The system restarted itself in 20 seconds or so automatically. The car remained drivable, which is if course...

    Mid-Range Battery Warranty: 100,000 or 120,000 miles?

I just noticed a discrepancy between what I see in My Tesla account and what is written in the "NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY" pdf (https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/downloads/tesla-new-vehicle-limited-warranty-en-us.pdf): 1. Website says: Battery and Drive Unit: 8 years or 120,000...

Is it wise for Tesla to refuse FSD refunds?

So Tesla may refuse to refund customers for a feature they were never able to use, because of it is not available yet. Now, I leave legal aspect of this out of the question. My only question is - WHY would Tesla want for their customers to be unhappy that much? You can return pretty much...

EAP -> FSD, because of original FSD is not going to happen for a very long time?

This is obviously a speculation. But I think Tesla made the recent separation of features from EAP/FSD to AP/FSD for a much more trivial reason: to deliver something to FSD users this year. I mean, the way FSD is now defined is what was expected by most as EAP some time ago. Tesla seem to have...

    HW3 hardware availability

So when do you guys think we should have HW3 to be available for a retrofit into existing cars? I guess it will be after 03/15/2019 ("promised" next update from EM) and before 12/31/2019 (they better do that this year, otherwise there was no point of keeping a promise on 35k$ car )) Anyone can...

What will never be included in FSD?

So did anyone notice that FSD definition was gradually reduced from practically Level 5 autonomy (yes, Tesla never said that, but I assume many were seriously thinking it will be something close) to 'you can drive everywhere from A to B under supervision' now with a list of quite specific...

How long before a better replacement batteries will be available?

If Tesla is true to its mission, it should start offering better replacement batteries sooner than later. My logic is very simple - instead of forcing people to buy new cars, why not to give them an option to just buy a new battery? In that case Tesla can saturate the market with EVs faster. We...

Incomplete or missing software features in Model 3

The Model 3 review video recently posted on Youtube () clearly states that multiple basic software features are missing, and that the software is ‘incomplete’ (some features are confirmed as added later over the air in the video): 1. No ability to turn on heated rear seats; 2. No web browser...
