Yup, same. I drove a few hundred miles yesterday chasing clear skies for the eclipse and noticed the update come through and thought 'maybe the miles triggered the fsd download?'. Checked the notes and 😔 I really was going to let it do the 50 minute update to try fsd on the way back home haha...

Ours was 50/50 with clouds where we were, guess we saw about two and half minutes unobstructed and the other 2 it was behind the clouds. Better than I was expecting a far as weather. Traffic was a little heavy but nothing like stand-still or anything. Made the 3.5 hour trip back with a charge...

Only 8 charging this morning around 7:30-8 so I didn't feel bad about topping off 😉

The highway we were on in after the 2017 eclipse was pretty packed, IIRC it was about a 2 hour delay. Once we made it back to the interstate it was back to normal.

I hope it's soon, I'd love to use it on my eclipse trip!

Parked. I understand what you are saying. But I'm not going to trust it. It's not showing the blue cold battery capacity, that I would understand. I'm just stating that when 30-90% my car drops 0-2% normally, and closer to zero on average. But when I park with 10-15%, I lose around 6% on average...

Just be careful. It seems at lower states of charge when the battery cools it likes to drop FAST. I remember being at work where I'm just 30 seconds from a supercharger and in 4 hours I dropped from 8 to 2 and was starting to get nervous 😆

I meant to answer that as well! Another vote for 'no' 😆, at least until totality, but at that point you don't want anything between your eyes and the eclipse!

My commute is about 60/40 highway vs in town. It is very easy to achieve rated or even a bit better in the stop and go traffic of the city. I drive well under the speed limit on the highway, usually high 60s vs the posted 75, and unless there is a significant tailwind the car always consumes...

I'm still blown away by performance at lower states of charge. Coming from a P100D where under 85-90% you start feeling the car is noticeably slower and it just gets worse the lower the battery gets, the Plaid's pulls so hard at practically any state of charge.

South Texas here and it was out yesterday (or maybe the day before?) but it's working ok today!

Car on fire next to my place of employment yesterday. About a dozen coworkers were watching and I was like 'is it a Tesla, I bet it's a Tesla' dripping with sarcasm because they all know what I drive. I didn't even see a local news crew there, not that I expected it.

New Plaid pricing pushing down used Plaid, used Plaid pushing on previous gens of (performance) Model S. I traded my P100D in around this time last year for almost 40 and it had 90k miles. Wasn't happy about it at the time but now I'm glad I didn't wait.

Interesting. Our lowest temp this weekend was around 50 and the update happened over the weekend. Car was in the garage as well so I don't think the car ever saw near 50. I wonder what they consider cold?

2021 Model S latest update a few days ago had the driveability and steering/braking alerts show when I went to check what days/times were available in service menu. Today when I went to finalize the date, alerts were gone. No issues driving the car. Guessing it's a glitch?

I know this thread is for the Y but on the S the LR didn't change but the Plaid did. Surely they are not putting less energy dense batteries in their flagship model.

Once you've verified the car's condition, and I'd definitely take a test drive to see if there are any noises (creaks, pops or rattles because those can be hard to fix) the only thing holding me back would be the shortened warranty. Since you can take care of that, I'd day go for it! Also check...

Man that autopilot/FSD update sucks! I 100% agree that the car gets in a mood and just won't acknowledge any input and then 'autopilot disabled for the remainder of your drive' 😡

Drive thru is exactly where I notice mine. Standard regen/ light braking it's silent, but on a quick stop is where there was a noticeable creaking.
