The last page of the MVPA gives payment instructions. By mail or wire. It is up to your bank which is used. Mine used a mailed check and it took Tesla ~ 2-3 days to process it.

This is my configuration but ordered awhile ago. Took delivery in July after modifying the order to have induction wheels in June. Build date is June 19. I don't think this is a particularly slow config.

They do not need to be present to document the issues. I documented most of the issues on delivery day using schedule service. I kept updating the service request as I found other issues.

Ended up with a $0 total. The $166 was an estimate if it was deemed not to be warranty work. The mobile tech showed up around 5:15PM MDT today. He adjusted both windshield wipers (apparently both were low), replaced the missing clips, replaced the trunk tub, and ordered a replacement headlight...

Trunk pan damage. They already ordered a replacement.

Picture of missing clips. There are three total. Two on the cowl and one to the side of the frunk.

Photos showing the gap difference between the passenger's and driver's side headlights. The passenger one looks like a common issue and appears to be fixable.

Found one more issue that appears in my initial photos. There is a barely visible gash across the driver's side headlight. It is ~8" long.

Before delivery I consistently heard from Tesla that delays were likely due to COVID-19. Trouble finding truck drivers. Not sure how trains are impacted.

Yup. It is pretty damn close to perfect. Glad I opted for the black & white interior. It is amazing. Time will tell if it will hold up to two kids though.

Adjusted the windshield wiper myself and now it works perfectly. It was ~ 1" low on the far end. Single 14mm nut holding it in. Took the nut off, removed the wiper arm, reinstalled so both ends were on the glass, and reinstalled the nut. This is something they should be checking before it...

VIN numbers are mostly produced in consecutive order but it is not always the case. 01xxx VINs will be coming off the line for awhile (though fewer than in June). Also, plenty of cars produced in June (01xxx VINs) are just fine.

Hard to say. Someone was saying that Littleton was handling ~ 50 deliveries a day. That is 10 trucks each day. For my car I had assumed that was the issue until I looked at the spreadsheet. Lots of deliveries in 4 days from VIN assignment. Not all of these are from the factory but many are.

This is not a problem unique to Tesla. We have a copper sunset Honda CR-V with exactly the same issue. The color hides it a bit better but when I look closely at the areas where painted plastic meets painted metal it is definitely a different color. This white just seems to exacerbate the issue.

Probably replanned due to the end of the quarter push. They pulled a lot of VINs to deliver them in CA instead to ensure they were posted as delivered in Q2.
