    Memory seats with auto-present door

This is something I actually got Tesla to finally fix around the end of June. I forget the exact FW # it was fixed in (you can check my posts from back then). Assuming you are on >= July FW then make sure the keys are linked to each profile and that the car indeed sees a difference between FOB...

    Model X excessive data usage?

A few weeks ago I started logging on my pfSense with darkstat because I was curious. It's a MX 100D that I use AP on frequently. In 21 days I'm at 850/2GB. So yeah, 13.6GB seems a bit out of band. But maybe as a new car it uploads a bunch at first.

    Supercharger experiences of eclipse travelers?

We drove 280 mi from Colorado Springs to Glendo State Park in Wyoming. When we hit the supercharger at 7am in Cheyenne, we were able to charge right away at one of the four stalls. When we left there was a line of 4 cars waiting. On the way home we hit Loveland which had plenty of open spaces.

    Colorado Tax Credit and Financing

I should clarify that while they are not doing the 5k up front (yet) you can still receive it when you file for taxes.
  5. T

    Colorado Tax Credit and Financing

    1) They do not in this current calendar year. This could change but I wouldn't bet on it. 2) Shouldn't be an issue, you could even register under both names as far as Tesla is concerned. Your finance company is the one that will dictate what they allow here.

MX not changing profile via FOBs

I did actually relink the FOBs. After a factory reset that didn't work. That update was actually due to my forcing the issue a bit. It's a feature that never worked since the day I picked up the car in March. They took it in twice trying to fix it, and finally escalated to engineering and told...

What are the chances of Autopilot 3.0?

This is absolutely correct. There will definitely be >AP2 eventually. I'm fine with that. But I'm one of those people that bought a car supposedly capable of Full Self Driving along with all the options that entails (In fact this was the primary interest, even more than the electric). If I don't...

17.26.76 AP2 auto lane change behavior

It's perfect now, even at 80. They really did a good job with this latest update.

    Help with power wall

The 30% is because it would be included as part of your solar installation. This is correct regarding the federal tax adjustment, and the nice thing is there's no AMT exemption. As to whether you need one, it's highly dependent on your local utilities. Here in Colorado Springs you can make an...

I Ran My MXP90D Down to 0%!! (or negative?)

I live in CO and have a 100D, you should be just fine for a 208 mile trek. If you want to be extra sure, don't drive 80+ on our 75 mph roads, that definitely kills range ;) The only other thing that'll nail you would be heavy wind, which at this time of year is negligible (I'm thinking...

17.26.76 AP2 auto lane change behavior

Yep, I was just commenting to my wife yesterday that at 80 they feel pretty abrupt compared to what I'd do, but at 50 they're almost perfect. I hope they factor in speed, and maybe even give a little user configuration to how quickly people like to change lanes. I'm a believer in gettIng it done...

Glenwood Springs to Silverthorne pulling trailer

You can probably play this by ear. Vail Pass is your big eater; if you reach Vail (which going East will be before the big climb) with >= expected you should be fine. It's all about making it to the top of Vail Pass, the 20 or so miles (as memory serves) after that will be a net gain for you.

    X: What's your 90%?

After latest firmware 90% is 265. Just over 4500mi on the odo. Haven't charged to 100% yet since 17.26.76 but based on updated Wh/mi it's probably 295/6 which would put it on EPA sticker rating I guess. Part of me misses seeing >300 when I leave on a long trek, but at the same time it always...

    Poor Deforst Perfomance

So toward the end of winter I was driving down the highway and had a bit of frost building up (perfect combination of humidity and temperature) so I hit the defroster and nearly had a heart attack when nearly the whole thing went white within a few seconds. I then learned about hitting the...

    Ordered the Model X100D

Love ours. Had a FWD alignment issue on delivery (fixed) and the driver side FWD had a small creak which they fixed with lube. Ironically a brand new P100D loaner I had the other week had the same creak on the same FWD so must be something at factory. On one hand it's ridiculous that a 100k+...

MX not changing profile via FOBs

FWIW this is fixed now in 17.24.28. Profiles work perfectly with PUP automatically opening the door and setting the correct profile.

    17.22.46 AP2 Reading Signs?

I guess I should have probably taken pictures to prove it, I assumed my word would be enough. Anyway it's a feature I have no need of but I've warned my wife not to use it in the meantime. OTOH AP is noticeably smoother although it still dodges slightly on highway exits when used in the right lane.
  19. T

    17.22.46 AP2 Reading Signs?

No I'm talking about my personally trying to use it. After failing to see many spots it finally decided to squeeze in between two black trucks and I stopped it literally within two inches of hitting the tire fender on the left one. When I demoed AP1 in December it worked just fine. This doesn't.
  20. T

    17.22.46 AP2 Reading Signs?

Ok doesn't seem to be on more testing. And the perpendicular parking is unusable, almost hit someone trying it out, and that's after it failed to see a half dozen spots.
  21. T

    17.22.46 AP2 Reading Signs?

I need to take this on a road where I know the Nav data was wrong, but the speed updates are much more accurate to where the signs are at a minimum. I'm surprised this isn't in the release notes. Can anyone else confirm?

    regenerative braking poll

I actually don't personally find this to be a problem at all, I probably stopped actively thinking about it within an hour of first experiencing the regenerative braking. It feels so narural to just go whatever speed I want my moving my foot I almost dread getting in my pickup. The closest ICE I...

Home Wall Connector Installation - Circuit Breaker Size?

There are so many variables to consider as most have pointed out. Keep in mind the 80% rule for load vs breaker. A 60A breaker will allow charging at 48 amps, a 90 will give you the max for model X (72) and 100 is for an S with dual charging (80). Wiring for 90/100 amp service can get...

    regenerative braking poll

I absolutely love that I can control my speed so well with just the accelerator. My use of the actual brake typically consists of slowing from 5mph to zero at a light, and rare traffic based speed stops. I know this will sound rude, but it's my firm belief that only bad drivers feel the need to...

MX not changing profile via FOBs

This is a known bug. My brand new MX 100D was in the shop for about 4 days while they tried to figure out why it's not working as advertised. The end result was a note from engineering promising a firmware fix. This was over a month ago so I'm hopeful it'll be soon.

    AP 2.0 17.11.10 getting worse

I'd probably ask service about it. Radar shouldn't have any problems with rain/fog, so maybe the cameras do play a role even for TACC? Or you've got a faulty radar system.
  28. T

    Link Fob Option Gone?

This is a bug. To make a long story short my brand new MX 100D went into the SC on two separate occasions, the second time they kept it for 4 days. They finally escalated the issue to engineering in Calif and assure me there is a FW patch on the way to resolve this.
  29. T

    X: What's your 90%?

    MX 100D came with 271/303. After a month and 1300 miles 90/100 is 270/302.

    Matte Seat Back Replacement

I'm curious whether anyone has inquired as to the compatibility/cost of changing the gloss seat backs in the MX to the new matte ones. I still remember laughing out loud when the sales agent tried to convince me that Tesla did that with kids in mind (easier to clean). As if they weren't scratch...

Enhanced Auto Pilot - order or not-Help?

You might consider getting EAP before you pick up if you can still do it without the $1k premium. My reasoning is that we're basically at parity with AP1 finally, and I believe it's realistic to expect that by July we'll be seeing some of the EAP-specific updates. What those are, and whether...

    First MX VIN with HW2?

I suspect it's trickier than that. I may be wrong but it's my understanding that even early vin reservations that were fulfilled after October came with HW2. Case in point, I may very well have an earlier vin 100D because I upgraded my December order from 90-100 but the only thing that changed...

    AP 2.0 17.11.10 getting worse

For what it's worth, TACC seems to work just fine in the rain on my MX 100D. In snow it is fine until it builds up on the front where the radar cannot penetrate. I tested this myself (being curious) by clearing the area of snow buildup and both TACC and AutoSteer worked again for a few miles...

Feature wish for Traffic-Aware Cruise Control

Having said all that, I support the idea, but from an engineering perspective it becomes much more difficult to safely implement a TACC system the further back you are from the T (traffic) component of that system.
  35. T

Feature wish for Traffic-Aware Cruise Control

It's a bit more complex than that. I25 between Colorado Springs and Denver is 2 lanes (each direction). It's 75mph rated road and you consistently see traffic anywhere from 55mph to 90. The "good" drivers will usually do ~80 and use the left lane for passing, moving back to the right...

Feature wish for Traffic-Aware Cruise Control

I'm in Colorado and I feel comfortable at 80mph with 2-3. The reason being is that idiots will cut in with anything more, making the trip more dangerous. I'd usually feel a lot more comfortable at those speeds with ~5 given my own reaction time preferences, but when it causes people around you...

Inconsistent "Vehicle Hold" display indicator. What is going on?

I've not paid attention to the message at the bottom but I have established a difference in how/when auto hold engages depending on Creep being turned on or off. When Creep is on one must press the brake pedal pretty deep for auto hold to engage. When creep mode is off it engages with a...

    100D Performance Testing...

No, I've got the exact same MX picked up on the 24th. Blue with tan even :) Auto hold or no, the first ~20 mph definitely has an artificially slow ramp to it. Beyond that it's the same rocket you'd expect.

    Rear Trunk height override?

We picked up our MX the Friday before 8.1 rolled out. I was able to get the back opening fully by setting the location as full open and holding the button till it beeped. It was a bit confusing realizing I had to select full open. Now I see you mentioned 8.1. The update introduced an interesting...

Alliant Credit Union 1.49% for 72 months

I can understand that position. But this "beta" car has it where it counts too. Even if you discount the electric drivetrain there are so many features that are making my wife and I excited. On the nit picky side I could complain all day long about the "raw edges" or missing features when it...

Alliant Credit Union 1.49% for 72 months

Yep. I can't see wanting to pay over 5k in interest over 60 months through Tesla when I can pay a fifth of that. I understand if people want to lower payments, but paying for a car for 6 years seems out of control.
  45. T

Alliant Credit Union 1.49% for 72 months

I'm just wondering why I don't see people mentioning 0.74% with Unify FCU (UNIFY Financial Credit Union) for 36 months? I originally learned about them from a post on these forums late last year when we ordered and am planning to go with them when I take delivery (hopefully later this month)...
