Cybertruck "Foundation series" is a fantastic exercise in economics! ... and PROFITable

The CT I would order would be the Beast, with FSD, the accessories they are including in the FS, and powershare components. GIven that, the 20K FS cost isn't really much more if any than I'd be paying, and it allows me to get one a bit earlier. So, for me, I don't feel abused by it. I...

    Who gets reservations filled first?

I'm glad I'm entertaining you. However, my question isn't a newbie silly question. I understand delivery issues in general, which I guess you could determine if you read my info below. It is not a silly question to ask whether I end up losing the option to configure a higher model if I get a...

    Who gets reservations filled first?

I realize that you can configure an available Tesla, like an X or Y or S now at any time. I have an S Plaid and a MY now, and previously an S. However, for my Plaid, if I hadn't configured it when it was offered to me after being on the reservation list for a year, I would have lost my place in...

    Who gets reservations filled first?

I have a relatively early reservation, for the tri-motor/fsd version. If they start production first of a lower version, and offer me an opportunity to configure, do I have to take the lower version, and if I don't, I lose my low reservation spot?

Pursuing this type of thing is a huge waste of time in my opinion.

    CCS Adapter - ?

Hi, I did one the old way and received it. I next ordered one for my wife using the link on 5.10.22. On 5.15.22 I received a 'your order is on the way email', and on 5.16.22 I got DHL shipping notice. As of today 5.17 the order is in the US, and is going to be delivered to me 5.19.22. Hope...

    CCS Adapter - ?

I can confirm that Harumio isn't requiring a Tesla account password now. Harumio confirmed that they don't need one now via a email to me when I asked.

    CCS Adapter for North America

I can confirm that Harumio isn't requiring a Tesla account password now. The one I ordered 10 days ago, that I received a couple days ago for my MS had to be done by giving them a password. Yesterday I ordered a second one for my wife's MY, and they did not require a password (and confirmed...

    CCS Adapter - ?

I received my CCS1 adapter for my MS via Harumio, about 10 days start to finish. I decided to order another one for my wife's MY. This time when I emailed them to get an invoice, instead I got a reply that said, 'you can order via this link now'. That link went to their main site where they...

    CCS1 Tesla Adapter

You can change it once DHL has it coming your way. Harumio just needs to have it to track it to their location before getting it in the hands of the service delivering it to the US/Canada.

    CCS Adapter for North America

Rich, I did that. Of course, you can give them your current password and change it after to a new one, if you are ready to change passwords anyway. The only thing I wouldn't do is leave the password the same after they had it. I don't mistrust them, but no reason to take a risk that it leaks...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Same for me. Very easy transaction, about 10 days start to finish with minimal hassle. Changed to temporary password until I got DHL shipping notice (about7 of those days).

    CCS Adapter for North America

Hi, I'm picking you to reply to, although I suppose I could ask this directly or as a reply to many others. When can I change my account password back to something that Harumio won't know? Thanks for anyone's input on it. That is the only slight concern I have in ordering. \ Best, Mark

    Model S Photo Gallery

It is an observatory east of Nashville owned by a school. It was designed to look more or less like the spaceship in the original The Day the Earth Stood Still movie. Here is a pic from google earth of the site. It has a 24" PlaneWave CDK telescope in it that we used a few years ago on...

    Is 2021.44.25.6 FSD Beta?

You are in the beta I believe. Go into settings and turn it on, I think that is all your missing at this point. Good luck, and be safe. As everyone says, it needs some attention paid to it. But it is fun to be part of the process.

    CCS Adapter for North America

My April 2020 Model Y-P got CCS 'enabled' with yesterday's 2021.44.25.2 update, and today my August 2021 MS Plaid (enrolled in FSD beta) got CCS 'enabled' with today's 2021.44.25.6.

I got 2021.36.8.9 FSD 10.6 sometime over the night, just installed. Haven't tried it yet.

Does exceeding 80mph or unbuckling seatbelt count against FSD?

It immediately cuts off autodrive and you can't reinitialize until you stop. No warning or delay. I don't drive over 90 usually either, it happened to me when I needed to accelerate around some trucks that seemed to be wobbling into my area.
  26. mmanner

Does exceeding 80mph or unbuckling seatbelt count against FSD?

Me too, exceeded 80 using FSD, couldn't use AP for rest of drive, but apparently no strike. Pre FSD, when I once exceed 90 while on autosteer, also couldn't use until drive was over, but it did not impact my safety score for that drive, which was 100.
  27. mmanner

    Safety Score after FSD beta?

That is interesting that you can still see the score. Can you see it in the Tesla app itself, or just in the other apps? FWIW, my safety score disappeared the next day, prior to any more driving, so in my case at least it didn't go away due to a drop (I had a 100 when I got the FSD).

    Safety Score after FSD beta?

I haven't done any launches since I got the FSD Beta, but I have lightened up a bit on my conservative driving. I now drive more or less like I was before, some snappy accelerations, nice powered curves on onramps, fun merging, etc. No warnings. I have never had a car forced autopilot...

What happens if I try to charge 2 cars at the same time?

To answer this as others have said, you need to know what else is on your house main panel, and what it's capacity is. If you have a 200 amp main panel, likely ok as long as you heating and air conditioning and hot tub ovens, stove, etc. loads are reasonable. I have a 400amp main supply, 200 to...

    Safety score reset

I believe that is correct. You'll then have to drive to acquire a new one. I think that you need a minimum number of miles, perhaps 100? Not sure if there is any minimum number of days of driving, but from what I've read here there doesn't seem to be. Good luck!

New FSD Beta Button for 2021 Refreshed Plaid and Long Range

New FSD Beta Button for 2021 Refreshed Plaid and Long Range

I just got back from a 2,800 mile trip through mountains, construction, large cities, etc., and did my best and got a 97 score. New FSD Beta Button for 2021 Refreshed Plaid and Long Range

Hi, the way Tesla incorporates usage of autopilot is to track how many times autopilot turns off because of lack of input with the steering wheel after being warned. Behavior of the car on autopilot doesn't adversely affect the score (other than if you get warned and it turns off for...

19" tires on Plaid and LR

That is helpful to hear. My new MS has 19" with the summer Pirelli's. I'm hoping that I can use them year round. I'd drive an old land cruiser in really bad weather here, but might drive the MS on cold dry days. I assume that is what you are doing in NC?

    19" Pirelli Pzero Elect tires.

A question for those with more experience than I. If I change my 19s over to All Seasons (the Michelin PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4), how much summer performance would I lose? I guess my question is whether it is worth changing back next spring to the Pirelli's? I don't think it is worth buying a...

    19" Pirelli Pzero Elect tires.

I tried to schedule this in Nashville, but was told that they had no other tires to put on the 19s. I think they are a bit out of date, and likely will change what they say later. What I don't know is whether when they get 19" all season tires in, they will swap them for no charge. I suspect...

19" Wheels Secured + info on an OEM All Season Tire option.

19" Wheels Secured + info on an OEM All Season Tire option.

Hi, I have the 19s that came with my MS Plaid, with the summer Pirelli's. It is obviously a lot cheaper for me to buy 4 all season tires and have them swapped for the Pirelli's onto my 19 rims, and then reverse that in the spring. Is there a disadvantage to doing that? I guess it takes longer...

I believe that the charger port is a known issue. Mine is the same, I have to slightly push it with my hand. I understand there is some communication error (perhaps antenna not there or mis-located). Until it is corrected, I find a slight push makes it pop open, so it isn't killing me now I...
