    Insurance in Colorado

We took possession of our CPO in late March. We just got our first insurance bill (I swear this was not the number I was quoted when I called for an estimate before we bought). We have Geico, and they have been great & very competitive. We have $500 deductible for both collision and...

CPO purchase...let's see how long this takes.

I got my car! My hubby & I went to the Denver service location yesterday morning & it was all ready for me. They are going to touch up some slight chips in the paint on the hood & replace the fog lights, which are on order. The car was clean other than some crumbs by the front seats, which I...

CPO purchase...let's see how long this takes.

I had the electrician out today for an estimate of what they would need to do. Tesla has 4 approved vendors for my area (45 minutes SW of Denver). I called all of them. One came out today. One said they didn't service my area. Another said there would be an estimate charge because we were...

Why didn't they charge you for shipping? Sure would've been nice to avoid that! As far as the outstanding issues, what are they? Anything major or more cosmetic? I still haven't seen pictures of my car, no idea about its history.

CPO purchase...let's see how long this takes.

So good & bad today. Bad is that I found out that Colorado did away with the tax credit for used cars on 12/31/16. We are new to Colorado & the laws here, but a local dealer (not Tesla) told us that such a credit existed. We looked it up & indeed it did. As long as the car had not ever been...

Wow. Did they charge you for shipping since it was misidentified as being local? I don't have pics of my actual car yet either.

CPO purchase...let's see how long this takes.

After MUCH research, I finally found "my" car! 2014 85kwh Model S. It's a CPO, although I was open to dealer or private sale. The car is in NY, I'm in Denver. If it was closer, I'd have flown out to get it & road-tripped home, but 3 boys in baseball doesn't allow for that much time away during...

Advice on must-haves & model year

OK, Carfax says "salvage title issued" and then "rebuilt title issued". Not sure what that means? The owner said Tesla has been out to do some warranty work & they did it in his garage.

Advice on must-haves & model year

Great suggestion. His words were "rebuilt title". It was hit in front right, damaged suspension and bumper. I have the VIN # & will look it up.

Advice on must-haves & model year

I am hoping to find black (either black color), but dark gray would be ok. I figure if I am spending this much money, I might as well get the color I like (and leather with the pano or glass roof!).

Advice on must-haves & model year

This is all good stuff. Of course, I want it all but will have to make some decisions. About the salvage, I may be using the incorrect term. The airbags did not deploy. According to the current owner, there was no structural damage. He replaced the suspension damage, fender & bumper cover. He...

Advice on must-haves & model year

This is all super helpful, thank you. I definitely want either glass or sunroof and leather. I would really like tech & smart suspension because I drive a lot of dirt & mountain roads. Sub-zero is next on the list since front seats are already heated. Everything else would be great but then we...

Advice on must-haves & model year

Price range under $60k. I've been checking the ev-cpo site daily, plus cars.com & Autotrader.

Advice on must-haves & model year

I'm ready to purchase a Model S. I've been doing lots of research, but wanted to see what you all think are the most important upgrades/options. I definitely want the glass/pano/sunroof, but undecided on everything else. Also, would you recommend a 2013 with lower miles or a 2014 or 15 with...
