Six months of Tesla Bot timeline

Just a reminder, in only 6 months we've gone from the introduction of an idea, with a promised prototype in 2022, to the (optimistic) possibility of production in 2023. Even if production doesn't take place until 2024, or even 2025, this is wildly faster than even the most die-hard Tesla fans...

Utter disbelief at the yoke buttons

I'm a Tesla apologist for the most part, but I'm astounded at the lack of physical buttons on the yoke. Three weeks in, and I still need to LOOK DOWN to accurately press the horn and lights buttons. The turn signals, which have a physical divider between them, are only marginally better. At...

Buying another Model X: Is it possible to take delivery at a different service center?

It's partially due to spite, as I didn't appreciate how unaccomodating the salespeople were at my original service center. But it's not a big difference for me to go to this different center, it's barely further away. At some point in the online ordering experience, is there a place to select...

    The Upcoming Major Refresh

I'm considering a new Model X, but I'd hate to have bad timing in terms of the refresh. I want the new features. What is a reasonable guess as to when it will come out?

    3rd-party Wheel Options

Let's say I'm not happy with the 3 current wheel options Tesla offers for Model X. Which 3rd-party vendor would you choose to buy rims? What should I know regarding staggering, or anything else with non-stock wheels? Would Tesla install them before/after delivery?

    The Ludicrous Cubby Flyout Situation

When I go pedal to the metal, my third-party cubby often flies out. Does anyone have a hack to keep the cubby in place? I see some vendors selling cubbies that lock, but they are pricey and not that attractive.

Has There Ever Been a More Polarizing Company?

The unwavering short-sellers think the stock should be in the single digits, and eventually zero. The non-accredited die-hard true-believer longs were upset at the prospect of their shares being called in at $420. The media loves it all, as negative and/or outlandish headlines generate far more...

Old charging wand with fabric cover

Cover for Charging Wand by HabitualUser posted Dec 16, 2017 at 4:38 PM Was this the old charging cord included with the Model S? And why did they change it - I like the fabric cover.

WTB - Cover for Charging Wand

Cover for Charging Wand by HabitualUser posted Dec 16, 2017 at 4:38 PM As seen on the National Geographic documentary on Tesla, I would like to buy one please.

    Protection against relay signal theft

I've seen "Faraday Bags" that you can buy to put the key fob into while not in use, but has anyone found a smaller solution? A key fob cover that blocks the signal would be best, but a small pouch would also work.

Real-time traffic data not showing up

This has happened before, but usually resolves after a restart: traffic is not showing up on the Nav. map. Before I call the service center, does anyone has a quick fix? (I've tried restarting both screens multiple times)

    SpaceX IPO (?)

link Not sure what to make of this yet, the fund is reputable but the letter sounds shady. Buying into TSLA right now for possible access to an unannounced SpaceX IPO seems highly risky. Even if it was confirmed today, it would still be months before the IPO. The volatility of TSLA could cause...

Waiting makes you want it more

A lot of us are following the Model 3 forum, and with good reason even if we aren't buying one. The Model X was the most recent release, and still very new. Barely a year since delivery of production models! So the upcoming release of the M3 makes me think of waiting for the X, and its delays...

    Criticizing the Criticism

My list of the top 3 cars in the world, If I had to choose only 1 to own: Tesla Model X Tesla Model S Tesla Model 3 Now this list does not consider value considerations (if you want to gift me a Bugatti Veyron, i'd sell it, buy a Tesla or 2, and pocket the difference). My point is, the amount...

    Evannex Rim Protection

Can anyone provide feedback on the Wheel Bands Kit from Evannex, specifically on the 22" wheels? Are you happy with the level of protection, visual looks, etc. Thanks.

    The Horn

As a disclaimer- on the list of improvements for Tesla to make, this should go at the bottom. But I would like an improved sounding horn. It's loud enough, but the pitch is too high and effeminate for my liking. I would like a deeper and more masculine-sounding horn. It doesn't have to be like...

    Bring the Dashcam in-house!

I'd like to see Tesla offer, as an extra, a built-in dashcam app. Especially with AP2, cameras could be on 24/7 to capture front, back, and both sides. I like my BlackVue, but an integrated Tesla dashcam would be much cooler. And a safety deterrent like that would be a great marketing tool.

    Model X Toy Car

Hot Wheels has come out with a toy Model X (in white only, for now). What I would pay for is a slightly larger version, in black, with Onyx wheels, that I could put on my desk in my office. If anyone has 3D-printing skills and is up for the challenge, send me a message.
