I also wonder how you managed to get the MCU2 upgrade for free, I ordered and bought my mid 2017 model s with all the bells and whistles, best sound system, etc, including FSD, but they do not offer a free mcu upgrade, they have quoted me over $2000 for a MCU1 to mcu2 upgrade, pluss additional...

After some reading, it seems like when you do the camera upgrade, the ap changes to vision only. The software version is still a mystery about if it contains the ap suspension.

Did you get mcu2 for free?

By AP disengagement punishment, I meant AP suspension. As discussed here: Because, as of now, I don't have this "feature", only suspended until you park your vehicle and then it's available on the next drive again.

Just received notification to update firmware to 2022.8.10.17 on my 2017 MCU1 AP2 HW3. Have FSD, location Norway. Is this the new AP disengaged punishment update? Or is this just another small fix update? Also, Tesla seams eager to replace all my cameras to new version, but read somewhere...

There is alot of things we in Norway have told them they need to take a second look at. Like ice buildup on frontlights, your loosing your headlights when driving because the lights have no heat. But I guess they know better in California then to listen to us Norwegians. Or like VW and BMW...

I think he was talking about the different iterations that FSD have been through, or descriptions if you would like to call it that. Like me, when I bought my car and FSD, the FSD description of what I was buying had far more functions than the FSD (description) you are buying now. And also...

Select group of safe, careful and expert drivers, in USA I presume. In EU we only get privileges to pay for FSD, and not the possibility to use any of the functions...

Oh well, if there ever was a good final answer to this... However, I'll try to answer you. It really depends on your road conditions, you say you have slushy roads. If I draw parallels to me here in Norway, we have slushy roads in the south part of the country where they salt the roads...

On fs2 (facelift) model s the rear bilstein part numbers are: f4-be5-l680-w0 And front: f4-be5-k999-w1

Does your invoice have this part number: 9874562-00-A ?

Anyone got their service agreement with part numbers for upgrading an ap2.0 mcu1 model s? My car is at the SC now and would like to get upgrade at same time:)

Well, even if mcu2 is faster then the mcu1, it's still far away from any "2020" tech... And I have had other brands where the dealer upgraded 5 years old satnav headunits with integrated hvac/seat controls to the newest, so this is actually not that special... And also, it was easier to ask for...

So, my car is at the SC now, I asked about the infotainment and hw3 upgrade, he said that he would check with Tesla parts center. Is it possible that any of you guys have the part numbers for the kit and the camera split cable harness needed for the ap2.0 upgrade?

What makes you so sure about that? I thought it was upgraded with the ap/hw3.0 FSD computer, but can't remember reading that they changed cameras?

I guess, as long as the ap sees what it needs to, it doesn't care if it's black/white with a dash of red in it or 5000million color shades:rolleyes:
