Not for me. Perfect 100 score. Opted in since the beginning of safety scores. Last 30 days, I have about 175 miles. MX 2017, updated camera and MCU2. Purchased FSD in April 2017. But my 2020 M3 received FSD beta almost since the beginning.

I got my HW3 only upgrade (no MCU upgrade) in mid June at the new service center in Superior CO (just south east of Boulder). MX75D AP2 MCU1 (April 2017). I just scheduled it though the app and got it done. You may wanna check them out, they don’t seem too busy.

I believe, if we are lucky, FSD level 4 might be delivered with HW10, between 2040 and 2050. But I paid for FSD with the order of my model X (2017) and model 3 (2019), so that I contribute to the FSD R&D, in the hope that 20-30 years from now (when I retire), I will get something meaningful.

Tried it once in an empty park lot with my X. It worked. Didn’t try it with my 3, and don’t intend to. At current level, I just don’t see the point. Hopefully in the future it will be more reliable and useful.

Yes, sadly. If you don’t get possession of the car by 12/31, then no federal incentive. However, if I remember correctly, Tesla did some price adjustments across all cars when the $7.5K federal incentive was dropped by half. Who knows what they would do this time.

Most likely reason... you have MCU1. But you should have Spotify, even with MCU1. when was your car built?

That was my exact question to my SC. After he talked to an engineer he came back to me and said, it’s not just a replacement of the screen. So “many things” have to be replaced behind the screen that it is simply not possible, at this time. But who knows another engineer might have other ideas.

I don’t believe the two cars are comparable. One is luxury and the other is mass outreach. The minimalist design of model 3 is not based on a “design philosophy,” it’s rather based on economics. Think of it like contemplating to buy a used Lexus vs. a new Toyota.
