I think Salina is a better spot because it helps people going both 15 north and South. It also is a bit closer to Green River which is a long tough stretch given elevation, temp and wind so fewer people would have to “top off” their charge enabling more car throughput.

Our refreshed 2021 model S LR with 11K miles on the pro contact all terrain tires was in for service and they measured the tire wear. Based on prior model S with very uneven wear, happy to see these are wearing evenly especially since they are staggered. Apparently we have used between 2/32...

I finally had the Montreal service center replace the left rear seat (was on order for a couple of months). Based on the drive home, that fixed the squeaks completely after both Tesla and I tried and failed with the tape trick. After 10K miles of squeaking, the silence is sublime!

agree 100% - I actively plan my route charging to skip both.

it is the most comfortable, fastest charging, and longest range car so a good fit for us. We like the performance when passing but otherwise it is over powered for our use. I totally understand those that love the performance however.

I have the same issue. My service center tried the tape but found that it still squeaked and rattled so they ordered a new back seat part and will be installing next month. Hopefully that fixes it.

I am wondering if part of the rough suspension issue is because it was designed for a heavier car. The 2021/2022 Long range are 300 pounds lighter than the the prior 2020 cars and the 200 pounds lighter than the Plaid.

2021 (November) LR with 19” all season tires - 3700 miles. 404miles indicated @ 100% (never charged past 90%). 3700 miles with 240wh/mile mostly around town miles. I am sure that will plummet when we do our 2600 drive back to Vermont for the summer.

FYI - I took delivery of our MS LR in December in SLC and it had All Season tires (19” wheels) so their statement that “summer tires are normal in Utah“ is BS. There were some Plaids with 21” wheels being delivered then with summer tires though.

If I lived in Edmonton, I think I would probably do full wrap too. We don’t have too much winter weather here in Southern Utah so we just did front + rear fenders, rocker panels, and rear bumper.

Well even on the 19s, the refresh isn’t as comfortable as our 2019 Raven. That and the ineffective noise cancelation feature are the only things that disappoint me about the refresh.

totally agree. ask service whether there was something they could do and they said no. I am hoping enough of us bring it up that they do some software fix to make Comfort actually comfortable.

I only have 1400 miles so far and am wondering whether the 2021+ LR tires wear unevenly like the earlier model S cars? Given the setup is now staggered, rotation isn’t an easy solution.

Excellent writeup. I agree on the suspension. This is our third MS with 19” tires - 2014 and 2019 Raven previously. Comfort mode is still way too stiff compared to prior cars. Asked service and they said that is the way it is. Will be interested if you hear something different.

Interesting data and pricing differences. We snowbird between Vermont and Utah. Very surprised to see the average UT and VT supercharging rates since in UT our home electric rates are a bit under $.12 and in VT are $.19 but supercharging rates are higher in UT. Wonder why.

Has anyone noticed that objects (for example headlights high beam icon) @ top of the Yoke screen are very dim/almost invisible? Another example is the top 25% of the white speed limit signs displayed are noticeably darker than the bottom portion of the signs. Not a huge issue but oddly distracting.

Lately Tesla has been showing service visits in the App but only the owner has that info to share. I’ve never heard of Tesla telling a buyer the service history of a car.

Yep - I purchased a private party 2019 model S with FUSC and it didn’t transfer to me despite the seller trying to work it with Tesla.

that is why I tried to get the phone as close to the headrest as I could. I agree the difference isn’t substantial though I can hear some difference and hopeful it will be improved over time.
